On the subject of IP, if you work for the same company, it is quite possible for multiple users to have the same IP address...... Just a thought.
OK, so my worry from promoting within is that i have watched a lot of the reserve and youth games and at all levels we make the same mistakes defensively, and also play one way no matter who the opposition are. Its noble, but too idealisitic. I feel that that someone like Bould would just continue with the same philosophy and we'll find ourselves wondering why, in another 10 years, we're on such a long run of not winning anything. I want to see new ideas in the way we blend Arsene's style with a more solid team defensive set up. To do that I think we need people like Adams (or Keown) to come in and challenge Wenger. When you promote from within, you often just get more of the same.
To be fair though Jayram, I think Bould does have a different approach from Wenger, there are similarities in philosophy and culture, because they are working to the same ends. But they are different people, with different styles. Bould is not a Wenger mark II. I think even at assistant level, you'd see more focus on defensive issues if Bould was in place. I'm not sure that we make the same defensive mistakes in the reserves and youth set up. Happy to be shown proof to the contrary, but I think it's a bit of a generalisation to say that the same issues are there throughout the entire squad at first team, reserve and youth level. I take the point about promoting from within, giving you more of the same, but in this instance, I think it would add a new dynamic, whilst also giving some continuity.
