Anyway, what I fail to understand - in a cant see the wood for the trees type situation - is , why does it seem to be taken as read that the taxman isnt going to say " 11 million ? thanks but no thanks, we will get more by selling everything youve got ".

old whytey is a sly old fox, i am not sure he can be side stepped quiet as easily as D&P are making out.

on sportsound paul murray said that the administrators approached the bk to do the same thing as they cannot deliver craig whytes shares. Therefore the only road forward is via this newco.

    interesting week ahead i think

Where has it been reported that coefficient points are reset? I've not seen that anywhere.

Don't think it would make too much difference. We will probably still have more than Celtic after 3 years.

Because the assets would be moved to the newco and HMRC would have no claim on a new company. The £11.2m from Miller goes to the oldco and it's this that will be available to the creditors.

If it's a newco and we are not allowed in Europe for 3 years then it's probably true. Even if we were to keep the points we have, after 3 years of no Europe we would be ****ed anyway. Bad for Scottish football as well, because the country will lose all the points Rangers have got.

All this 'Motherwell in Champions League' stuff has got me laughing. Going down the non champions path will mean having to play a placed team from the EPL, la liga, bundesliga, serie A <laugh> Pumped out that and then pumped out the Europa.

I had the misfortune of listening to Radio Snyde last night.

Fat Guidi is desperate for Rangers to lose their history if the go down the newco route <laugh>

    Pathetic ****s.

Of course Rangers will keep it's history.

The company that Rangers are right now wasn't formed until 1899, yet we count history and trophies from 1872 onwards.

We support the club, not a company number.

The clubs history will be preserved regardless.

Are you sure the 1899 thing isn't when we got the license for the league?

The old companies didn't die though, they evolved into the new ones. The newcos there took on assets AND liabilities of the old co. if rangers don't merge the old co to the new co your history dies. We shall remind you of this forever!!!!!

That's your choice. There are countless examples throughout Europe of oldco FC dying and newco FC ones forming, the 2 most prominent that I can think of are Fiorentina and Napoli, both which kept their history.

Anyway, Uncle Bill says that liquidation isn't going to happen, so it's a null discussion.

well, yes I get that part, but I cant see how hmrc wouldnt object and take further legal action re the admin company shifting its assets to avoid them being used to recompense creditors......unless they calculate that the pence in the pound deal they can get is actually worth more than the assets ?

The assets aren't being shifted to avoid them being used to pay creditors. They are being bought. The money from the sale will be used to pay creditors (via CVA or shared out on liquidation). That is my understanding.
