Facts and stats ahead of Manchester City's Premier League clash with Sunderland at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Man City have won 10 and lost just two of their 13 Premier League meetings with Sunderland.
City have won all six home matches against the Black Cats in the Premier League.
Man City have only lost one of their last 10 Premier League games at the City of Manchester Stadium.
City have kept seven clean sheets in their last 10 league matches on home soil.
41% of the goals Man City have conceded have come in the final 15 minutes of matches, the highest proportion in the top flight.
Just 11% of the goals Man City have scored have been netted in the final 15 minutes of games, the lowest proportion in the top division.
Steve Bruce’s side have hit the target with just 37% of their attempts this season, a lower percentage than any other team.
Joe Hart has saved 77% of shots on target faced this season, a better rate than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League.
City’s last nine Premier League games have followed a sequence of DWL DWL DWL which means if that continues, this game will end as a draw.

Not good reading Syd but i'd settle for your last line mate. I'd just love us to win but TBH a boring 0-0 would do.

Feel free to merge my 'Preview' post into here if you want, I didn't see this. It's got injury news, predictions, line-ups etc.

I'll also drop our betting preview in later if that's alright rather than make a new thread.

Richardson out on Sunday is not bad news providing Bardo is fit, makes it easier for Bruce. Turner back in training so hopefully not long before he starts for us.
With Ned unable to play and Gordon still carying his injury it seems the back line is sorted.

    Mig
    Anton..Bramble..Mensah..Bardo

Just midfield and formation to work out now.

There are bars outside the ground now on both sides of the club shop.Plenty of away fans have had a few beers before the game and not seen any bother but plenty of banter and the foods pretty good, bit pricey but nothing like the emirates robbing bleeders
Have a good journey down and a thoroughly miserable one home

Cheers PP, we are Sunderland so we know that all we can expect is the unexpected, think it could be a tense affair.

On paper at least, it ought to be a corker. I don't mind losing to citeh, so long as we play well and really have a go at them.

Teams we've struggled against this season at home are the ones who came for a scrap like wolves and Blackpool.
City are terribly vulnerable down the left as Kolorov is a very poor and slow left back defensively and we will be missing Richards at right back so if the elephant man does his homework and you attack with width and pace it would be squeaky bum time for city as it's a must win for us with spuds breathing down our necks.
Do you think you'll keep Ned next season?
I know he's doing his house up in Manchester

width in pace we have in theory, if they turn up! I think Bruce wants to keep Ned, gone public saying he does, he must be doing his house up to sell. Do footballers do that?

We'd love to, he adds quality to our team, though I fancy Roberto will ask a heavy and possibly prohibitive price tag if he does let him go at all.

Don't suppose he needs to sell like we would have to,probably keep a base here as he's a Manchester lad
Have you tried him at centre back?
Much better there than right back,I think he could become a top class defender
Never got a run at city which is a shame
    Really nice guy as well

Many commentators here have pointed out that this is his preferred position and like them, I believe we should. It's just that left and right back is where we've been short this season.

If he weren't tied for this game I would have loved to see him alongside Bramble in the middle as this game, theoretically, would have been an ideal opportunity for him in that slot.

    /

Played CB a couple of times but we are strong there but weak at RB. I think a Ned/Turner CB partnership would be good but Bruce wont listen to me.
