Game ****ing crashed after a great 0-2 win against Sunderland, did not save it in time, ****ing hell.
Carlos Fierro end of season stats (2021-22): League - 36 apps, 46 goals Overall - 52 apps, 53 goals Lionel who?
Just replayed the game which it did not save and I draw 0-0, **** sake, it is annoying and a few of my players got injured, already got a lot out, this is getting annoying.
Tried to emulate Germany's 4-2-3-1 tactic and I'm extremely proud of what I've come up with. It's totally unlike any tactic I've used in the past but it works so well. Used it in three tough away games so far and won them all convincingly. I think it might be my best to date.
please log in to view this image Touchline instructions: drop deeper, stand-off opponents, play wider. The idea is to mix both counter-attacking football and possession football. The back line is very deep to prevent quick strikers from getting in behind them, the two CMs (BWM (defend) and DLP (defend)) win possession deep and very quickly move it up to the front four, all of whom have a ton of pace. I am able to play a very effective counter-attacking style, while keeping the control strategy and fluid philosophy. I made the AMR the playmaker to emulate Thomas Muller's role against England in the World Cup. El Shaarawy plays it very effectively. It's important that the DLP is not made the main playmaker because the focus is to move the ball to the flanks as quickly as possible. The touchline instructions combine rather nicely to invite your opponents onto you, and open up some lovely space between their back four and their goalkeeper. The main reason that this formation is so out of character for me is that on first glance it looks quite negative. I've never been a fan of having two defensive midfielders, and I always feel that a top team using a 4-5-1 variant should always have a short passing style. What I failed to realise until now is that committing to short passes in the way that Barcelona do often has its downsides. With the tempo of this tactic being so high, short passing would actually be detrimental. Because of that high tempo, and the fact that they're encouraged to play wide and use the AMR as a playmaker, the central players rarely take more than one touch. They receive the ball and immediately release it to the flanks. Playing short passes in the middle of the park in this situation would just allow the opposition to catch up. Barcelona play the way that they so simply because they play 11 of the best players in the world. Their formation is extremely simple and there is actually nothing special about it at all. Germany's, on the other hand, is tactical genius. Having said that, I do use the Barcelona tactic for most of my games, simply because my team is awesome enough to pull it off. Feel free to use it, I'd like to know if it works as well with other teams or if it's just that it suits my players. I also want to fiddle around with the centre-backs a bit more, as I'm not sure if I should make one stopper and one cover. It would sort of contradict the idea of standing off, so I'm not sure. Games I've played with it so far: Betis 1-4 Depor Napoli 0-2 Depor Shakhtar 1-3 Depor Real Madrid 1-2 Depor
I just play 4-4-2 now bit basic I know, but look at me top of the league as it stands and I have problems with injuries this time out, I am proud and I won against Barca in the Champions league, I am already through to last 16 aswell with Barca, done it with 2 games to go, 1 game to go against Inter and if I win I finish top.
holy **** i won the champions leauge. my team is mid table, somehow got into most basic champions league spot and went all the way and beat real madrid in the final. Seriously dont have a clue how i won it.
I feel the same with my position in the league, **** knows how I am there, I know I am doing a good job, but my team is over performing well I think so, but we did finish 2nd last season and I thought we over performed then, maybe it is that they are good, but I did lose a few good players in the summer and there are a few injured at the moment.
Looks good, makes sense as well, I'll definitely give that a go in a few cup/european games and let you know if it works with my team! I'll stick with my 4-2-2-2 for league because I know that works and league is the only thing I care about but as soon as I get around to playing again I'll give yours a spin. I'll start training my guys with it as a secondary tactic so when I stick it on they're not completely new to it, as at the moment I play quite differently. Does look very good though!
Yeah same here, I don't use it as my primary tactic because I've been using the same one for 5 seasons or so with a lot of success. But I now am using this new one for all my tough away games, and having played a few more today, the record remains at 100%.
Accepted the offer but it got annoying when matches came around as I just wanted to continue my progress with Depor, so I quit.
I'm the same as Joe. Been offered several international jobs (No, Israel, I don't want to manage you) but never been interested. Adds to the schedule, cba with it.
Football Manager. Don't no how to take a screen shot so have had to picture it on my phone and upload it. Apologies for poor quality.
Mexico has produced some seriously insane regens on my game. They've won the World Cup. This happened to anyone else?
Not that I've noticed, seems to be Argentina that produce monster regens on my save. On FM10 it was always Scotland!
