I've re-read this six times now in glorious HD on a 42" screen and I still don't know what your intention was in writing it. Did you mean to insult the entire club or was it just a lucky shot?

The whole club, your whole clubs isnt represented by a few bitter idiots.

Literally the only people who are saying this isnt the goal of the season are a handful of Liverpool fans.

Its fair to point out just how isolated an opinion it is. Everyone else on here recognises the skill and quality.

I posted last night saying any strike is meant if you strike towards goal, thats what he did, he intended to score as every striker does each time the take a shot.

Could someone explain what else he may of been trying, a pass maybe, just booting the ball for no reason? Perhaps the ball insulted him?

I wasn't referring to the goal, but to this:
Do you really believe the stuff you write?

saint. I do believe that he does. He's only one of a growing army of idiots who believe that they can argue from a standpoint of 'fact' without truly understanding what they are talking about. hence anybody who disagrees must be classified, by him, as bitter. If I were so then why wouldn't I be slating Modric's goal last night against Bolton - after all it wasn't scored by a Liverpool player?

I don't understand how there can be skill and quality when he didn't mean it go in the top corner, he shot for goal, I don't doubt, and it flukily went in. It is an incredible looking goal but then so was Crouches, yes thats right, CROUCH! anyone can get some luck now and again.

Don't think he means the swerve, but nevertheless he gets the reward for having the confidence to shoot.

Envious of Newcastle's form this season. Goals like that go in when all your players are feeling good. Must be great to be a Newcastle fan at the moment.

  9. Superb goal but I reckon Cech was either having a quick nap or on a bung...<whistle>

And yes, I think it is a contender for goal of the season. And no, I don't think Suarez's is better, the goal I am thinking of as competition is the one scored by Crouch.

My favourite goal so far has been Coates vs QPR.

Technique is impeccable, plus he DEFINITELY meant it - he wasn't horizontal 5ft in the air for a laugh or anything.

Other contenders off the top of my head:

    Modric vs Liverpool
Dzeko vs United (for the Silva pass)

Have you heard the ****e that comes out of Liverpool at times?

While fans are a big part of the club not all fans are as stupid as 4deck nor do they think being an old man gives their opinion any extra weight.

    Good shout!
Also, I think Van Persie's against Everton has to be up there with Cisse's, the technique was flawless.

The stuff you write is classic, the fact you try and fail to attack any none Liverpool fan is hilarious. The fact you are a bitter old **** goes along way to explaining much of what you write.

The fact young lads who are members on your board thing much the same about you speaks volumes. When you make a post that isnt somehow linked to United ( thats impossible for you, like KPR you cannot help yourself ) and you dont try condescending other posters we might get somewhere. Until then I will treat you like I treat every other ****tard on this site. Simple eh?

Heres an idea, go and look at the goals crouch scores and then look at the goals Cisse has scored.

The audacity and the technique he used is nothing new. The fact his confidence is through the roof just gave him the belief to do it.

I wonder if it had been Gerrard who had scored it, what would some posters be saying. I wonder indeed.

Yeah agreed, especially as he had to watch the ball come over his shoulder too

  18. I sort of understand both arguments here. Some efforts are a hit and hope but still look fantastic and the player was clearly shooting. Other goals do not look quite as good but are clearly intended by the player so the skill of putting the ball in that exact spot is fantastic.

For example, the year Beckham scored from the half way line was the same season as when Trevor Sinclair did his overhead bicycle kick from eighteen yards. The former was all about placement and distribution, the latter was about connecting with the ball and getting it on target. IMO, the latter looked better but, as we know, the former won goal of the season. You could then ask why Alonso didn't win goal of the season with either of his half way line goals (one with left, the other five or ten yards inside his own half). Like all things in football, it comes down to opinions <ok>

Papiss Demba Cisse, describing his wonder strike that helped Newcastle beat Chelsea:
"With the second goal, when I saw it coming back from Shola Ameobi I just wanted to kick it. I had no energy so I just wanted to hit it and it ended up going in."

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17927593

So yeah it was complete luck. Lazy shot, that had no intention to swerve and dip like it did. It looked good for a spectacular swing at the ball, but has nothing on Crouch's goal against city or Van Persie against everton, which were both pure technique and came off exactly as was desired.

And if you don't like the opinion of board members on the Liverpool board, then you can always delete your bookmark named "my obsession with Liverpool", it's right next to "lonely nights - porn".
