I'm saying a win. If the team that played Chelsea turn up we will give them one hell of a game.

    Huge, huge, game now.
Watched a City fan being interviewed yesterday afternoon, he said they were using our game to 'Cross the Finishing line', they'll now realise it isn't going to be that easy.
Everybody is so upbeat, look how early we've began posting on the forum, I will remember last nights game for ever! <diva>

If we turn up we will make it very hard for them. It all depends on who wants it more in that case, im saying a draw as they have so much quality all over the pitch it'll be difficult to contain them for 90 mins. This is the most important game City have played in a LONG time.

Reckon with this being the last game of the season and a CL spot riding on it think the atmosphere will be amazing, it's going to be like the Liverpool game.

Hopefully it is and the crowd are the 12th man that day.

    Will take a draw though

Will be a very difficult game for both sides. City will be on fire after getting ourselves back into the driving seat for the title, but then so too will Newcastle as they continue to fight to finish as high as possible (3rd is not out of the question by any means).

Obviously, as a City fan I want us to win. But if Newcastle do so, I hope that you do finish the season qualifying for the Champions League -- be that by finishing 3rd (thus ensuring qualification) or finishing 4th (with Chelsea losing the CL final). The reason for that is not because I specifically want Chelsea to get beat, but rather if Newcastle are to deny us the title (which I feel they would do if they win the game), then I hope its not in vain for Newcastle.

A draw doesn't really help either side, so for that reason I expect both sides to fully go for it, which should result in a cracking game.

And from a City perspective, their is a slight omen to this game - the last time City secured the title they did so by beating Newcastle up at St James' Park.

I have a feeling it's going to be controversial one, penalty and or sending off early on, can't say for which side though. And then probably a draw as a result. That said I think the mackems might scrap a draw vs united on the last day and QPR will get run over by citeh so who knows, wide open still imo. big game for howard webb to ref.

What happened last year vs city at our place? I can't recall... in our relegation season Beye was falsely sent off and we scrapped a 2-2 draw and Stephen ireland played and scored. Bizarre. Did we lose 0-1 last year?

Under no circumstance should you predict a win then.

Hope you guys can do a job on City, wont be easy but if the play like they did v Wolves you should find it much easier than people make out. City looked rubbish v Wolves and their away form is meh.

Think of it like this, its your chance to make the rich kid cry, the bastard who got his pennys from mummy and daddy not through hard work.

Of course. Your doing it for Newcastle. We just have some interest in your game as we sort of need a result from you guys.

On the other hand you are doing it for football and clubs like City and Chelsea and Real Madrid who use tactics like closing off the market to try and crush the opposition.

Even ourselves dont do that, we dont make it impossible for others to compete. Yourselves showed this in the 90's and many clubs have outspent us over the years.

We want Newcastle to win for our benefit but it would be great for English football on the whole to see another proper team in the CL. 3 out of 4 isnt bad at all.

Would be nice to make the wealthy feel poor.. At the same time though i feel that if you guys win the title then fergie will feel his system of using players like Jonny evans is working... I like to see english teams do well in the CL (as long as it doesnt affect us) and no offence to Man u but if you guys played the Likes of Real Madrid / Barca do you really think you would win with Jonny Evans in defence??

I dont know, have Messi and Ronaldo been struck down with strange illnesses or have Oxavi and iniesta taken a vacation at the time these matches happen.

We are along way off Barcelona now.......unless we get a midfielder who can break up up their pointless tippy tappy stuff.

Plus you forget we have the army, aka, Vidic. He will be back next year.

Look at your team a few seasons back though when you had a front three of Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo... and your defence of Neville Vidic Ferdinand and Evra was solid aswell... (Cant quite remember the midfield).

Losing the title this year could be a blessing in disguise? IMO you guys need a good RB, CM (Tiote/Essien type player) and a playmaker who can play alongside Rooney (Benzema type player)...
