Sad that Spurs & Newcastle were able to win last night Less so Newcastle who I doubt will win there next 2 games against Man City and Everton Spurs go to Aston Villa who are terrible but they must win to make sure they stay up and haven't won in something like 8 games so are due a win. Tough to hope for them to get anything but they've certainly got more to play for than Norwich But ultimately, win our games and 3rd place with guaranteed Champions League is ours and if we can't win these games against 2 mid table teams with nothing to play for then we simply don't deserve it and Wenger will have alot to explain for Our squad should be good enough for these games but we're running on empty through lack of investment in the team. Look at Newcastle (Cisse) and Everton (Jalevic) and the impact they've had West Brom isn't the easiest place but I'm hoping Hodgson leaving will have the same affect as Redknapp and Spurs when they thought he was gone
It is such a pity that we don't have any decent impact players like them. Who knows, if we did, we might be sitting above them in 3rd place with a better GD than both. Oh well, we can always hope.....
Last day games can have a strange effect on teams at time... they either want to end the season on a high note and give their fans something to shout about or they are already mentally preparing for after season activities and therefore see the game as being of little consequence (if they are a mid table side like WBA with nothing to play for). Hopefully they will not be up for this one as we can't afford to drop any more points. It's 6 points from the next two games or we will probably finish fourth or lower...
Well first off i think its showing a bit.of disrespect to the afore mentioned teams who have done considerably well this year. Having said that we should be able to beat them....however arsenals mental strength will now.be truly tested and that has generally been our achilles heel. If we can somhow summon our.mental resolve and persevere we should succeed. If not i fear it willbe spurs year as i think man city will be too much for newcastle.
I'm going to be a nervous wreck on Sat lunchtime. Blood pressure through the roof. I might make Arry look patient and calm.
I've been like that all season, can't wait for this one to be over, maybe the wife will take me back and I can find where the cat finally landed.
Suprised to see you guys are really fretting over 3rd, you should easily win your last two games. It's the possibility of finishing 4th and having Chelsea snatch CL football from us with a CL final win thats got me worried lately. If that scenario occours then we'll never hear the end of it from that blue lot, and quite a few from here too I'd imagine.
We basically have two cup finals now, and yes if we don't win those two games then i really don't think we deserve 3rd, too often this season it has been the poor form of other teams that has helped us and now we really cannot afford to drop any points although aston villa could potentially be a difficult game for spurs and i dont think newcastle will beat man city, but we just have to focus on our games and it is good that it is in our hands.
Norwich should be routine given their form but West Brom away for Woy's last game will be very tough. They're very organised defensively.
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm? No offense was intended, but some people need things to be spelled out for them, you don't appear to be one of them Dennis.
You should beat us,well that's what most of us think on the Norwich board.I'd settle for that especially if we score a couple.A good season for you lot after a disastrous opening.Wenger might run SAF close in the curmudgeon stakes but a very, very good manager without spending a fortune.
I am sick & tired of supporting a team that promise a little & delivers **** all. We have been pants for a lot of the season but then get ourselves into 3rd place & think all the hard work is done. Like hell it is. I can easily see us losing @ West Brom who will want to let Hodgson go with a big farewell. I bet ****ing Wenger will say "overall we played well" Well bollocks to that WE DID NOT WIN. I fully expect us now to slide to 5th or 6th. I have followed the Gunners for over 30 years, used to go to Highbury when I could but at this moment I couldn't give a**** As Alan Green once said "it's the hope that kills you" How right he is.!!!!!!!!!!!
You are welcome to leave then because I doubt you have supported the team for 30 years because if you have you would have seen far far worse So quit lying and **** off
