Not sure I have seen this mentioned but Burns said that Nick is meeting with the Allams tomorrow afternoon. He thinks it will end with Nick being sacked. In light of the interview splased across the HDM today I imagine Nick will be livid that he has not been able to defend himself. Would love to be a fly on the wall. Got to feel for Nick though, loving the club as he does to know he has been thrown out.
I think thats was scheduled before the proverbial hit the fan so I was interested if it was still going to happen. If it does I can't imagine it being a very long meeting. It was supposed to be a strategy session with NB and AP...seems like the strategy was already sorted...
I think that was today but juleskaren is talking about another one scheduled for tomorrow which will presumably have been arranged in the last couple of days.
We built an Empire the Sun never set on by twatting people, lost it when we got all civilised. I don't want to see my Club disappear so a little twatting might save the day. It's clear that talking with these spawny-eyed wazzocks will achieve nothing.
I Do Love reading this board. I get laughs that money couldn't buy, and we do need them at this sad time. Just to let you know, I'm a season pass holder, live in Wiltshire, now, and do a 500mile round trip to watch OUR team at the KC. I'd love to be watching them next season with Nick in charge but from what OLM says it's just not gonna be.
AGREED. We all need a grown up attitude now for the sake of the players and the club. We have all worked in the past for people we dislike or even hate, thats life. If the Allams offer to keep him as manager IMO Nick should swollow his pride and bad feelings towards them and think of the bigger picture. The fans want him, the players want him and he is Hull City through and through. 3 out of 4 aint bad and the reason IMO why Nick should stay if allowed to do so. Sadly i fear that today will see the end of Nick Barmby at Hull City AFC.
Does anybody really think Barmby will be the manager next season ? Do you think he would even want to be after this ?
Agreed. I don't think they want him, I don't think he'll want to work for these loons and if he's heard any of the surprisingly mixed reaction from fans he might feel very let down that he hasn't got more support.
I don't think Nick thinks too much about what is said on the internet. It's a pity that there isn't an home game on saturday.
Probably not but he must have seen something in the papers/radio or something. I remember he had a paddy about something Swanny said in the paper before so he'd obviously read that.
YES. But only if we had new owners from whats been said. The bigger picture is being ignored by both parties through all this from what we know so far. But it could well be what we dont know and whats gone on in private that will be the deciding factor.
There's a side of me that says whilst the Allam's might be hacked off with Nick's comments, they appear to treasure 'loyalty' and place great store in 'giving something back to the community'! Surely they can see that whatever they perceive as Nick's shortcomings or naivety, they know he wanted to come back to the club in the first place, has been loyal to the club ever since, notwithstanding that he gave up his playing career early etc I hope common sense prevails - though sadly I don't think it will. Pride will get in the way...
Barmby has most of the fans support so far. It will take more than a one sided HDM article to change that i would suggest ?
