  2. I cant - but i can name clubs who definitely will not be top 6.

    Bolton
    Norwich
    Stoke
    Swansea
    Wigan
    West Brom
    Fulham

With the exception of Stoke - all would be good places to loan Djourou.

Go for it. I'd like a complete list of the 14 teams that will not finish top 6 next season.

Nothing will happen until the player knows who's in the champions league.

If you fail to beat Norwich 3rd is well up for grabs.

I can forecast a few teams that anyone could tell you will not be in the top 6 next year with 100% accuracy.

    Fixed it for you!

  9. Now that is much harder - but not a bad shout. I do think Liverpool will improve next year.

I think a Podolski- Vanpersie -Walcott front three has the potential to tear up the league.

If we improve our defence and add another quality midfielder(which seems likley)

    I'm going for ..

    1.Arsenal
    2.Manc C
    3.Man U
    4.Tottenham
    5.Chelsea
    6.Newcastle

I dont think Liverpool will get anywhere with Kenny. the guy has been out of the game too long and he sets his teams up like its still the early 90's. tactically very poor and has got all his transfers wrong. (with the exception of Suarez)

I was tempted to put us in 3rd. However I think Chavs will sort some things out - while we may continue the 'nearly-men' label.
I remain to be convinced the Club and Wenger are really wanting to go for it. (and I don't mean spending £100m is required)., That would be foolish and risky.
We have to unload at least 6 deadwood from the 25, stop paying kids crazy money, buy 2 seriously proven players, play much more according to our opponents abilities, squad rotate more, Wenger stop pitchside whingeing, reduce 71 playing staff, reduce managerial team etc etc.
Plenty of scope to work on.

In my opinion there's only two key differences between now(ie: the last few seasons) and our title winning seasons under Wenger.

    1. Selling our best players.
    2. Reluctance to replace these players

If we cling on to RVP this summer and Wenger goes out and buys his top targets, I dont think its unrealistic to think we can win the league.(I am an optimist I admit)

When Wenger does sign players he generally gets it right. With a less conservative approach he can build a title winning side again.

yes please, if only to buy top targets. I'm not sure we can win the PL - I just want us to tackle our shortcomings.
We seem to take more than 2 years before a failing is addressed.

PNE - I agree, we need a quality DM, a creative midfielder and a strong, tall, fast defender - on top of keeping RVP and supplemented by Pod. We can definitely win the league if we learn to change things, tactics etc, rather than doing the same old same old every game, against ALL opponents.

I think we can challenge the top spot. Without the extra investment ... who knows.

Redknapp has come out and admitted Tottenham are chasing Vertonghen. He'll be their no.1 target this summer, still if we dont procrastinate and put a bid in early I dont see why he would want to pick them over us.

I have to say Vertonghen is top class but Mats Hummels would be my absolute first choice defensive signing.

  17. Depends on who gets CL football. If Spurs do and we dont then we have to expect he'd rather go to them. If we do, or we both do, then i think he would choose us.

De Boer has said that he should turn both of us down and join Barca.
If they're in for him, then that's it really, isn't it?
