2009–2012 SC Freiburg 65 appearances 37 goals So before he went to newcastle, in the german league in a weaker team than newcastle he scores more than a goal every 2 games. Don't be so flippant with your remarks pal, players who pass are special but theres a reason goal scorers are the most expensive types of players.
Here's a the much talked about second: The first wasn't bad either...
Absurdly good goals, what a good player he is. In the Championship, if you put in a perfect defensive display you'll keep a clean sheet. That's not always the case in the Prem and it's something we'll have to get used to.
What a goal that 2nd goal was. Goal of the season contender - although Crouch's was pretty special too.
I fail to see what point you're trying to make here mate. He's got more goals than games at Newcastle. Surely that just reinforces AdamBanana's statement?
No you weren't. I thought so at the time. Both strikes had a touch of Le Genius about them, but the second one actually provoked me to think that only one other player would have even tried something like that, let alone achieve it.
Has anyone seen Claridge's response to Cisse's goal from last night, yet..? Made me laugh: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17941090 Thing is, it was worthy of that kind of reaction.
Not at all. The first one, flicking the ball up to volley with his (nominally) weaker foot, had a good bit of Le Tissier to it; the composure in a tight space particularly, getting the first touch just right and the rocket he then produced over the challenge of a Chelsea player. And as mentioned above, there's really only one other person who'd have looked at a ball bouncing to them and thought "I bet that I can swerve a 25 yarder with the outside of my right boot into the top corner, with one of the world's best keepers awaiting"...and then pulled it off.
