    Minor County indeed.

    Berkshire is the Royal County so named because the Queen has a home there and the next Queen but one will have been born there.

    Hampshire is my home now and has been for over fifty years and it is the birthplace of my children and grandchildren.

    How can I therefore not love the county above all others.

    Sorry Godders, it was my only chance of vengeance to your Reading and Brighton being Southampton's future rivals, jibes.

    I've lived and worked in Portsmouth for many years now. I can't afford to live and travel from my home city! But I still feel a fuzzy glow come over me, when I pass through Emsworth into West Sussex on a day out.
