According to some Sky Sports hack:

Maybe he was the 15k-a-week wonder? Either way, this is a ****ing terrible start to the retained list if true.

This may be a technicality, if you think of it. It may only be until he signs a new contract. Fingers crossed.

Dom Poleon posted a kit with his name and the number 15 on the back of our away shirt yesterday. I was hoping its because Clayts was after the number 8 shirt & Poleon was getting a move to the first team. Could be nothing, and lets hope its as whitejock said <ok>

Just thought about it again - NW offered Clayton a new contract, so his card will only be marked if he doesn't sign it. Recently he's been making positive noises, so here's hoping it is indeed a procedural technicality.

Not sure Kissa <ok> Just thought it was a bit strange that Dom would post that at the end of the season?

If Clayton does go, forget holding onto Snod.

Anyway, lets hope theres no truth in it.

I wasn't far off with my predictions

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/134662-So-who-is-out-of-contract-and-who-are-we-stuck-with

Sounds like we will accept a free transfer for any of those on the list (with poss exception fo Clayts) as long as we get their wages off.

Wonder if Warnock just sees Clayton as not having enough of an influence on games and listed him, or whether he turned down the chance of discussing a new contract offer so was listed?

major surprise for me is Webber - could see him being offered another year, think he will be great for someone

LOL you had the whole team listed and several down as not going are being sold, pretty predictable apart from Clayton who blew hot and cold.

Can't believe Clayton's been listed, but I guess Warnock knows what he's doing. I sincerely hope so anyway. Either he knows what he's doing or he's lost the plot.
Hope we don't lose Clayton on a free, his wages can't be that much so surely he'd at least be decent back up instead of losing him for nothing.

He's like Bradley Johnson with a footballing brain. Of course he does. Just been overplayed this season, not been switched on the whole time and been surrounded by ****e.

The whole team was listed because it is a full list of players and their dates of end of contract, and my predictions on every one a month ago.

The ones that I have stated I would like to get rid of but are unlikely to actually go have been transfer listed. No different from what I have put, other than I am not convinced they will actually go anywhere despite being listed. Which beggars us up cos if NW can't shift them, where does he get the brass to bring in new faces?

On Clayton I actually said that we would sell him because he was unlikely to sign up. I may be right or wrong on the reason, but he has been transfer listed. And of those listed, he is likely to be the only one that will attract interest where a fee (ie a sale) will ensue. Possibly Nunez, but only £100k if that.

I still think White will go, and McCormack and Snoddy will turn down their offers and be sold - they are the only ones that will attract interest. If that happens, again, I was right.
