Could we have one further week, if need be, for the last games in the Premier League after this week.

You could include matches from abroad for variety, i.e Bundesliga, La Liga or Serie A (if they are still running after this weekend).

Any Thoughts on This Idea ?? <ok>

Good idea and in I could have run for another weeK, but as I said this was the finale it's only fair to keep it that way.

However, I will do an "Attendance Cup" thread, which will be a knock-out. Look out for the new stick thread as soon as I've sorted it out. <ok>

Three matches played and three attendances recorded. Woopert is ahead of Penshaw so far, but nowhere near enough to overhaul the lead. So it looks like the attendance crown is heading to Leeds.

The Hillsborough attendance has put the title race steaming into the boiling pot. Every one was miles under. Penshaw was closest with 26,666 but that was nearly 11,500 out.
The one factor here that could just send the title to the Isle of Wight is the fact that chinasaint played his penalty card on match 5 so his [already big] score for the game was multiplied by by 5. This means that, as things stand, the Triple-Dare between the top 3 will be won by Woopert and as he was the one that played the card, his week total would be halved, while Penshaw's would be doubled for coming in 2nd.
Penshaw needs a bumper crowd at Villa Park today and may rue his choice of entering by PM, as his weekly discount is 15% compared to Woopert's 25%. Will it come to that? We'll find out tomorrow morning when I tot up the final score!

    :emoticon-0159-music Da Da DAAAAAAAAH!

    To Penshawdave and Woopers_duck

To save you being on tenterhooks and having a sleepless night, I have done the calculations and can reveal the magic number <magic>

    35,264

If this is the attendance at Villa Park today, then you will finish on EQUAL POINTS!

One more bum on seat means the title goes to Penshaw
One more note from Matron and it goes to Woopert

Good Luck - and who cares what actually happens on the pitch <laugh>

Meanwhile Woopert has been spotted at Toddington Services with six hungry rotweilers and has been handing out letters to Londoners

36,008 at Villa Park in the final fixture means that Penshawdave is the winner! Woopert gave it his best shot though. Starting the final round trailing by 63,842, he almost pulled off a shock victory, but fell short by just 1,829.
While all eyes were on the top, it should be mentioned that the best actual score, before discounts and Dares was actually achieved by Pompey_Fan_London, who is the only other player to retain a score above zero.
Poor chinasaint was the only one dragged into both Triple_Dares and finished 2nd and 3rd in them respectively, which means he broke Singing's record by racking up a massive 549,390 points! I am the Herminator finished 3rd in the other Triple-Dare; a feat that also put him into the red at the end.

So here is the FINAL TABLE.

    1......(1)...PENSHAWDAVE.........324079.....(79594).....244,485 <magic><bubbly>
    2......(2)...Wooperts_duck.........260237.....(17581).....242,656
    3......(5)...Pompey_Fan_London..168589.....(34893).....133,696

    -------------------------------------------------------------
    OUT..(4)...I am the Herminator....219461....(288438).... -68,977
    OUT..(3)...chinasaint.................232117....(549390).. -317,273

Congratulations to Penshawdave and also to Wooperts_duck and Pompey_Fan_London for remaining in credit.
Commiserations to I am the Herminator and chinasaint for missing out on a podium finish but well done for making it to the final round!

I hope I'll have the time to do this again next season and I hope you will all be back <ok>

Well it proved a little expensive to win this coveted title. I would like to thank the following.

Firstly to 'arry from Tottenham for selling me 1888 tickets at a very heavily dicounted price !!! 'Arry Please send me the bank account number in Cyprus as soon as possible.<gift>

Thanks to the London branch of LUFC for giving the tickets away with Happy Meals before getting on the special 'arry coaches" for the trip up north.

Thanks to the coach drivers for not stopping at Toddington Services, where there were reports of disturbances in the coach car par. Seedy characters were letting down tyres and syphoning petrol and handing out leaflets.
I do appreciate that the cans sold on the coach were expensive, but we had to cover costs. <cheers>

Finally thanks to Devo for running such a devious, cunning and downright sadistic game. :emoticon-0130-devil The Samaritans were very busy on the South Coast of late dealing with various football related problems. <whistle>

Cheers Guys, look forward to joining battle again next season. Great fun enjoyed the banter<applause>

Hearty congratulations Penshaw on your victory - I almost got you at the last hurdle ! <applause>

I take exception to being referred to as a 'seedy character', mind you I can't vouch for the other people with me - "rentamobs" don't come cheap you know. :emoticon-0136-giggl

Cheers devo for a great game <cheers>

Thanks for taking part every-body. I'll un-stick this thread now so it can go down in history <whistle>.

I'll leave the Rules thread stuck to the top and may have a slight tinker with them during the closed season. If I remember to, I'll PM those of you who've been involved in the game, prior to [hopefully] starting up again in August <ok>
