    Detective Inspector Bob Campany said it was "the worst football violence in my living memory. It was an attack on the community and the police."

    He added: "There was destruction on a large scale and 150 cops were injured, some of whom are still off sick.

    "I was in the 1981 riots and the attack on police was more serious than those riots in Brixton in my opinion."

    If that p**ck of a copper thought it was 'football' violence, it shows why the Met is still in such a mess. We all deserve far better.

    Exactly it was about Police harrassment and Brutality, but as the majority of the rioters were White there was no expensive inquiry looking into the 'Real Causes' and no millions of taxpayers money spent on the surrounding area to appease the afflicted hard doneby local community.

    This thread was about the riots at the Millwall Birmingham match but yes we can laugh at Luton, although they did get a good night out in 1985.
