Tomorrow. If spurs beat bolton as we all sincerly wish the story goes on. If bolton wins spurs at rebook or even gets a draw ,then practically its all over for us.
Get your point, but disagree a bit. We have to win one out of two, Bolton have to lose 2 out of 3. A Spuds win tomorrow would be great, but I fear this is going to the last day of the season. I haven't got the energy to factor Blackburn and Wigan in.
If blackburn beat wigan then they (wigan) need to win or draw the last game to be safe. I'm sure wolves would love to drag wigan down with them. With the added pressure.....you never know. Wigan are only good against the big teams. I see more of a chance here than bolton....which says it all really.
As far as I'm concerned the footballing Gods are against us. There are many reasons throughout the season to confirm this. Some of these incidents and games are well documented and mentioned on here repeatedly. But of late, we have all hoped other teams would do us a favour, ( Villa v Bolton, Wigan v Utd, Arsenal v Wigan, Wigan v Newcastle etc ) and have been let down. This leaves one defining factor. Take care of your own business and let the others worry about themselves. This is what Wigan did and what we have failed to do. Mark Hughes's failure to address our away-day performances is the reason we are probably going down. Don't hold your breath on other teams doing us a favour, it ain't going to happen.
Nines, you seem to be shell shocked from Sunday, and who can blame you. But there are lots of reasons for us being relegated, if we are. Away form in the second half of the season is one of them, but just as valid is the fact that we won only 1 home game in the first half of the season. Pin it all on MH and away set up if it makes you feel better, but there's a lot of others involved as well.
Muamba is going to the Reebok tonight. Bolton will play out of their skins for him tonight. No chance for Spurs, who don't really seem to care much (no idea why not), so no chance for us either. I agree with 999, footballing gods are conspiring against us
Wigans win at emirates was crucial for them. Without that they would be still deep in it. Anyway they did win and thats that. We didn't seemto get same kind of boost of our victories from liverpool ,arsenal and spurs ,because after each great home win we were useless in our away matches. Bolton is in good form right now and have got seven points out of nine in their last three matches. Spurs dont get anything from reebook without fighting. Things are lookin good for them and thats bad news for us.
I agree that a win for Bolton could be catastrophic but I don't think a draw would be. With Hodgson leaving I am sure WBA won't put in half arsed performances. 2 draws for Bolton IMO wouldn't be enough as its asking a lot to go to Stoke on the last day and win. A draw is my prediction but any result other than a Spurs win wouldn't surprise me
Well it's football I am sure we will look back at many games we could have should have done better . This in a nutshell is coming to terms and of course it's hard We will know by watching tonight and even then it's not confirmed Weird **** happens and trying to work it all out in the end damages you Spurs will win this
I really hope it but it will be frustrating match to watch. Bolton have found their fighting spirit and will be hard to beat by anyone. In fact i would not suprise me if they win all their matches.
Thank you spurs. Now the next important day of the season is next saturday. If WBA win bolton away i really begin to believe we can survive. Still, WBA havent got anything to play for and if bolton keeps on fighting and wins it that could put too much pressure for us for sunday.
