We are so ordinary and pedestrian without Suarez. He is carrying our team. I expect big things from downing, Henderson, Carroll and Adam. I wouldn't sell any. Bring back aqualani. I would buy another striker plus right mid. I would sell shelvey!

Only tonight we were without Gerrard, Agger, Reina, and Johnson as well as Suarez.
Shevley had a off-game. He can't be sold merely for that.

    A nice knee-jerk evaluation.

Shelvey showed most of our best attacking intent and has huge potential. The fact you'd sell him says a lot.

Would be silly to sell Shelvey - he is still young but has a lot of potential. Was disappointed with pretty much all of the team tonight.

But I agree in that Suarez is our only decent attacking outlet. He links all of the attackers together and brings the best out of Maxi and Kuyt. Without Suarez, we lack penetration, imagination and random moments of brilliance. And that is Suarez on a bad day!

Despite having a weakened side, I still expected more from our players.

The only players to come out of yesterday with any credit were Doni and Carroll. Hendo looked knackered, Jonjo is a good player who needs time, ive been impressed with him this year. Spearing just isnt good enough, anpther defensive midfielder to compliment Lucas is a must along with a striker that just enjoys scoring goals. I would in fact re-sign Owen if the Manc release him.

Henderson was tired and looked jaded from the abuse he's put up with,

Maxi and Kuyt have lost their right to ask for more playing time.

Spearing is too defensive, or he's too ambitious with the pass. Never a good middle ground with him. Not good enough yet.

Sterling showed some good touches, why he didn't start is beyond me.

Shelvey looked like he did pre Blackpool loan, headless and not sure of the best time to run.

Defence was fine, Skrtel uncertain without Agger but Coates put in a good shift.

Doni was fantastic for his part.

Downing looked above average... In a squad of under average players.

Carroll looked isolated, and didn't have who to play with.
