If the Pakistani birds were as 'liberal' as the Indian ones we wouldn't have those Muslamic Ray Guns roaming about the place.

    Back on topic.

ER why are you so voiceferous against this kind of bank account? Although it's tailored toward muslims it is open to everyone so doesn't discriminate in any way.

Unlike Saga, over 50's only, ageist **** <grr>

Maybe but you don't see half naked birds dancing in sports stadiums in Pakistan. I laughed when I went to see the cricket as none of the dancing birds were actually Indian - it's only ok to corrupt the women of other nations <laugh>

    Its more than that Mick

It shows what can happen if local stars and money people get together for the good of the nations most famous sport.

The rules of the IPL means there are Indian players playing regularly with international stars and gaining experience and coaching from the worlds best

so while the likes of pietersen and freddie flintoff sell out to the highest bidder, the Indians are developing their 'average' players and in a few years you will get the barca situation and spain.

and thats in a 'third world' country

I went to see the Super Kings vs Kochi when I was in Chennai last year. Our hosts paid for my ticket, but I had a look at the price on the ticket itself and it worked out about £80 (albeit we were in the more expensive stands with big fans and **** to keep people cool).

When looking at the abject poverty on the street you kinda thought the nation had it's priorities wrong pushing such wealth towards cricket - but then again I wasn't in any mood to turn around and donate the money I was being paid to be there to the people on the street, so I suppose the local middle class are probably thinking the same.
