After playing six years under the Ridsdale regime? Probably £5-8m, and with over a decade of football left in him.
Let it go... Once we called you 18, you were our loyal moderator and you kissed our *****, but then you left turned your back on us and joined the "Ariticle Editors"... Did we turn our back on you? Did we refuse to let you return? NO.... Why???? Because we are Leeds & we MOT PS. imagine just imagine if we went up and Smithy scored that wonder goal at Old Trafford or if he crunched Giggs in a 50:50 tackle.. I would love it
It should be mentioned though that I am the only 'article editor' on the site. It gets awfully lonely.
Yep. i got it Jonny, the old ones are the best.... sometimes!! ------------------------------------------------------------------- How come all the best "sauces" are up in jockland?
Every transfer window or end of season, the Alan Smith brigade come back with their bullshit about how he's coming back to his beloved Leeds United. I reckon they'll still be at it, even when Smith himself is in his retirement home. The simple fact is Smith went to Man Utd, so what, who would knock back the chance of working for a successful employer who is also willing to pay you a life changing amount of money to be part of their business, I know I would happily have joined Man Utd if they wanted me and I was anywhere near a talented footballer. It's pathetic that there is still anyone who claims to support Leeds United that still thinks that hating Man Utd is the number one priority for any Leeds fan and that anyone who dares to move from Leeds to Man Utd, must be "scum" for the rest of their lives. I couldn't care a feck about Man Utd, just as I couldn't care less for Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Norwich, Stoke City or Oxford, I only care about Leeds United and I want us to have the best players we can, no matter what teams they have previously played for or where they were born. Smith may have given his all for Leeds United during his younger years, but I was never convinced he was a class player and I certainly don't think he has the quality we need now. He was always arguing with the referee's and opposition players, without having the football ability to take care of things on the pitch. I was amazed that he made it to the full England team and that Man Utd signed him, that said they tried to make him a midfield player, which suggests they were not that impressed with him as a forward whilst at Leeds. I know he did reasonably well at Newcastle, but that was a few years ago and they didn't want him when they got promoted or now. He's struggled with League One and from all accounts, he may be thinking of retiring anyway, so let's end this now, he isn't coming back due to his lack of football ability that the club requires for next season or any season in the future, let him get on with his life and enjoy the memory of when he played for Leeds and some people thought he was rather good.

OneLeeds, and how many things did you say when you were 19 or so that you later went back on? We are a harsh lot.
