I tried looking through them during IT but my teacher told me off and told me to finish my data coursework
From what I have read there could be another version of the story. Nick Barmby is assured by the owners that there are funds available but Adam does not want them spent. The only players who we could have brought in would have been too expensive whilst we still had a higher than needed wage bill. We could never afford Billy Sharp. Nick Barmby has not had any meetings with the owners since taking charge and all the finances have been dealt with by AP. Nick then makes a case for spending and hints that he has been let down by the clubs owners. Only Adam Pearson says that no new money is available and Nick thinks that it comes from the Allams. It is possible when you read and listen to the interviews.
Have I balls! All i said was all along I told you why Nigel quit and it was nothing to do with money. I didnt say I was right about everything. Although I am.
AP is very much on Nick's side, if the Allam's were happy to fund Nick's signings, AP wouldn't have told him they weren't.
OLM the statements in the press since January just don't balance with what is being said today. I find that puzzling. I do not believe that every thing has been rosy at City in the last year. Derby County keeps coming into my mind.
Nick was covering for the fact that he wasn't allowed to sign who he wanted in January, he decided to stop covering that fact and it's cost him his job. Adam is a completely different issue, the Allam's just don't think they need him and will probably replace him with that knob Hugdell.
when this all shakes out i feel its gonna be such a waste of a season or 3 . We will lose some of our best players , Without AP - whos gonna organise a manager search , deal with player agents , players the manager appointed will have to work with a coaching staff embedded at the club - a great idea it seemed at the time , but now it looks like a stumbling block for ANY manager who is their own man. Arggh , next season looked like being another enjoyable ride too :/
Kids of today! Just can't make an effort. When i was his age I read twelve pages before I even woke up.
