So written by bloggers about their respective clubs, here is what they had to say about their own teams performances this season http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/...ampionship-2011-12-bloggers-end-season-report
Who didn't really seem as if he hated us either. I suspect they'll be hating Bournemouth and Swindon fans next season. Heaven forbid they end up hating the likes of Cambridge Utd, Lincoln City or Grimsby Town. Thought our representative blogger summed things up quite well.
Reading get "worst fans award" in almost equal proportion to WHU...Aka no support vs moaning abusive support.
Good read. The quote about Ishmael Miller – "expensive, slow, uninterested, the first touch of a brick wall and more one-footed than Heather Mills" - made me chuckle. Harsh to put any Saints player 'bottom of the class', but that performance by Bart deserved it if someone had to
Taken from Forrest Bottom of the class Gosh, take your pick! I'm going to pick Ishmael Miller – expensive, slow, uninterested, the first touch of a brick wall and more one-footed than Heather Mills. I choked on my cereal
Was just about to post that. He sums up what all the others are saying about West Ham having the worst fans really!
Hi saints well done on your promotion, does anyone remember the old 606 virtual bar??? I think saintdav was the landlord with lots of different users with other jobs, just wondering if they're still around using new names. Also thanks for the warm applause for us after the game, and we were kept on the coaches behind the Northam End and lots of your fans went past clapping us and wishing us well..............top fans and enjoy the PL.
It was an interesting read, not sure I would be so quick to criticise Bart though. The Reading game was disappointing but I thought they fully deserved it...anyway who cares about that now. The West Ham bloke had a chip or two.
I´m surprised so many people think Pompey fans are the best fans!?...But I´m not surprised that not many people like West Ham fans as they sound like an arrogant bunch singing "You´re only here for the West Ham". The Bristol City blogger had a good view on that.
The team which has gone through the most hardship will always be deemed to have the best fans, because they have suffered so much and still show up and sing. Turns out fans of just about any club will do the same. If West Ham were to go into administration and were docked ten points next season, I bet everyone would be saying they have the best fans. If a team is doing well and their fans are showing up in great numbers and making loads of noise, well that's just to be expected.
I agree with you, Joe. Part of the problem is that we only get the views of potentially unrepresentative sample when we are making judgements about, for example, West Ham. I have a few Hammers mates from Uni days who have sent messages saying that Saints deserved to go up and the leagues don't lie. The poster "Brooking" who seemed to live on here was a voice of sanity. West Ham have some dickhead fans. Well, hold the front page. I have shared stands and terraces over the years with some Saints fans that I wouldn't have shared the planet with given a choice. I did like that "our" blogger didn't slag off anyone's fans. Bless!
