Yeh because Fergie hasnt been through all this before with far better managers than Roberto Mancini. All part of the game managers play, try and put the focus on your rival. For the next 2 games refs will be less likely to give 50/50 decisions citys way as to not seem to be doing Mancinis dirty work. Mancini tried it this week himself. Dalglish does it aswell.
They only ever do Fergies dirty work so I can't see why they wouldn't give 50/50 decisions(Unless they want to do Fergie a favour which is not unheard of) If this does turn out to be the case, then the old farts at the FA really should get involved. Fergie gives nothing for the game, it is about United and I wouldn't expect him to be any different. What I can't agree with, is the way he constantly tries to influence the course of a game by badgering the officials. It is not in the best interest of the game, and whether I we are just an after thought or not, it is doing nothing for the premier league as a whole. How does he influence refs. He trys to put the focus on opponents. Thats not influencing. Influencing would mean he twists the refs arm of persuades them to do something.
