For the second time this season I must start with an apology for entering a fixture in the wrong week. Match 4, Bournemouth v Preston is scheduled for next weekend and must therefore be treated as a postponed fixture for this game. Any cards played on that fixture were shifted to match 5 as per the game rules. Three of us have fallen at the final hurdle, meaning there are just five players standing i the final round. A special mention should be made for saintrichie123. Defending just 4,488 points it was always going to be his final week. He bowed out in style, scoring the best total of the week and, because he played a Triple-Dare, his total was halved. This gave him a weekly score of just 9,535 and means he can take solace in the fact that h has finished in 6th spot, ahead of devo and meowth, who sank like stones. At the top, Dick Dastardly has extended his lead by 1,702 to 63,842, so it would seem that he is champion-elect going into the final rounds. Only successful Triple-Dares from Woopert and/or P_F_L can unseat him now. Here is the penultimate table: 1.......(1)...Penshawdave.................367777.....(43698).....324,079 2.......(2)...Wooperts_duck...............305637.....(45400).....260,237 3.......(3)...chinasaint......................301246.....(69129).....232,117 4.......(4)...I am the Herminator..........242735.....(23274).....219461 5.......(5)...Pompey_Fan_London........229329.....(60740).....168,589 ------------------------------------------------------------------- OUT...(8)...saintrichie123.....................4488.......(9535)... .. -5,047 OUT...(7)...devonFRATTONiser.............88890.....(187680)... -98,790 OUT...(6)...pompeymeowth.................93612.....(533120).. -439,508 The final fixtures: Please note, these fixtures are spread between Thursday and Sunday, so entries must be in by 12 noon on Thursday! 1. Well the title is not a dead cert. If Woopert gets the best score of the three in the Triple-Dare, his weekly total will be HALVED as he is the Darer. And if Penshaw comes third.......
Thats the way to make it exciting ! AND I have gone for the top end of attendances. its party time at end of season !!
been away from an internet connection for a few days so missed the Monday deadline, here goes with my predictions. 44,950j 31,955 23,959m 13,850 21,250p 2,550
With all entries now in the book is closed, so I can reveal the PM entry received from Penshawdave (on Monday, giving him 15% discount) 45,666 35,666 25,666 15,666 M 26,666 J 3,366 P Personally I think he should have played a Triple-Dare to give every-one else a chance but he resisted the temptation. Only 2 Triple-Dares have been played in the final week (by Woopert and Hermy, but with just 5 contestants it means every-one is involved in 1. Infact poor old chinasaint is piggy in the middle and is in both of them! Discounts this week: 25% for Woopert and P_F_L. 15% each for the others. Realistically the only way Penshawe is going to be toppled is if Woopert wins his Triple-Dare. Even then, if the scores are close, it may still require penshaw to be 3rd to recoup enough points. So the title could ultimately be decided in china! With this being the final week, there is one last 'sink-or-swim' issue on the card front. Hermy will be sweating on the attendance for match 3 (Cardiff v West Ham tomorrow night). He has played his Penalty card on the game and, lo and behold, china and P_F_L have both plonked their Multicards in the same place. Hermy's match score will therefore be multiplied by [at least] 27. Let's hope, for his sake, that the attendance at the Cardiff City Stadium isn't under 24,536
