Yesterday's developments certainly came as a big surprise and it's clear to see many fellows supporters aren't very good at dealing with such shocks. Certainly the knee jerk reactions show a levèl of immaturity in keeping with a twelves olds pubesant tantrums. Look all this Barmby's one of us bollocks is a bit silly, we need an experienced and capable manager, Nicks single minded and limited thinking are clearly not what the role requires if we are going to get promoted. His vocabulary is equally limited and I can see why an intelligent business man would regcognise this. The Allams will have a business plan, they will have thought this through! You dont run successful multi million pound businesses without clear strategies and business plans. If they have someone like Mick McCarthy or Billy Davies lined up then nows the time to do it. The new (experienced) man will provide safer hands to buy players and having more creditability will probably attrack better players than a novice. One last thought, if the Allams buy KR they'll have a stadium and grounds that could be developed? Whose to say they won't build a state of the art stadium in east hull? That way they'll have the asset their investment deserve. Please keep calm, let's see what develops! UTT
Sorry but you just don't get it do you. Nick has not been sacked because he didn't do well enough, are you really so trusting of the Allams that you think this was all planned and part of a strategy to take the club to the Premier League. You accuse the posters on here as having a knee jerk reaction when the only people as I can see who have had a knee jerk reaction are the Allams. Nick spent a long time toeing the club line about being happy with players, he has taken all the flack from us and the press. He couldn't be expected to constantly fend off questions about squad strengthening, he had to say something and in my opinion what he said was no different to what any other football manager says. From what we understand Adam Pearson has walked because he did not agree with the Allams decision. We then get a completely stupid non statement from them, surely if this was well thought out they would have had a statement ready to put out. No I am sorry, he pissed them off and they spit the dummy out.
Nick and Adam have gone because our owners are a pair of spoilt children who don't know what they're doing. Davies will be installed next week, Nick and Adam will take legal action against the club and we'll move on, but the way the Allam's have behaved is utterly disgusting.

This is my biggest fear, with the power footballers hold nowadays if they are unhappy with the treatment of Barmby then all they have to do is tell their agent to find them another club. This is what I would do, especially if I were someone like Koren, Chester or Fryatt.
I've been thinking ever since January that something was not right behind the scenes i.e. NB being told there is money to spend and yet despite strengthening in certain areas being obvious this did not happen. It was also a little strange as to why it took Nick so long to accept the job, I know he was giving up playing, which is the hardest thing for footballers to do, but he must have been hesitant on taking the job for some reason. If Nick does go which seems inevitable now (it seems as if the Allams did not want people at the club that the fans revered more than anything i.e. NB and to a lesser extent AP) I'd rather us go for Mick McCarthy than Billy Davies as the latter would be entering in to a situation where he was with Forest i.e. lack of funds for squad strengthening so why put himself in the same scenario? Unless of course the Allams do give a new manager a transfer budget which they weren't prepared to give to Nick. I am grateful to the Allams for saving our club, but the nature of how they financed this is still to come fully to light so I'll withhold my gratitude to a certain extent. However, the manner in which they handle matters with the fans and the media certainly needs improvement.
I was thinking more about what remit Davies is brought in with. He might be told there is no money to spend and that he must generate his own funds through sales. In which case hemight well sell off the prize assets in order to get the players in he knows and trusts (as most managers do). The players agents will not act hastily until they know who the new manager is and how the players feel about him. Personally, Davies always comes across as an arrogant little swetty, but I don't know whether p[layers tend to like him or not.
Barmby going - stupid decision made by non footballing people but not the end of the world. Adam leaving - he was leaving anyway so no big deal. What concerns me most is that this MAY give the agents of our young stars the excuse to push for a move. It also may affect how our club is viewed by potentia loanees and their clubs. They need to realise that football is different to other kinds of businesses.
Not true, there are several posters on this board who know exactly what's gone on. And though much of what is being posted on here is speculation, it's not far wrong. We haven't even seen the worst of it yet either, players are going to leave because the Allam's have as crass with our players, as they have with our management.
I think its the fact all this work in bringing this decent young side together has been destroyed in the last 24 hrs, ok NB going worse still AP too but can;t people understand most of the players will follow and then its start all over again
What do you want know? Adam Pearson was sacked because the Allam's didn't think they needed him and wanted him off the payroll. Nick Barmby was sacked for hinting at the fact that the funds promised in January were not forthcoming. In short, our owners seem to think that they can bin anyone who disagrees with them, they have no idea how close we were in January and as a consequence didn't realise how much difference a small investment would have made. They also seem to be labouring under the misapprehension, that you can buy Man United academy players for £300-500k and sell them for £1.5m, like it's some sort of production line. What's utterly ridiculous about this whole thing, is that they now seem intent on realising some of the clubs assets, while two of the clubs biggest assets have just been sacked.
yeah, it's the other things you are hinting that haven't come out we want to know, not a summary of what has!
