Every time he goes in for a tackle you wonder if a card is going to come out. Add to the fact he has a reputation with the refs and another year older and slower he is a definite liability in my eyes.

At least he actually goes in for a tackle, unlike virtually the rest of our midfield...
And tbh, he's been sent off once (i think?) this season. I don't mind if he picks up yellow cards, he won't be first choice next season anyway so the yellow card suspensions (if they occur) shouldn't bother us too much.
He's good on the ball, as well as good at breaking down opposition moves, and I've always liked a feisty midfield player :D

I think Brown will stay, as may Nunez & Somma. I think Paynter will go, but I wouldn't be too surprised if he came back to haunt us.

I did think Bruce might stay. But if Pearce is now a definite & Lees will hopefully revert to CB, how many CBs do we need? Bromby will probably stay just because when fit, he's versatile & gives us a long throw option. Always useful as an alternative attacking threat. Ask Stoke.

I believe he is one of the higher paid players, what we don't want or need is costly players on the bench, we need impact players who can come on and turn a game around. I think he might well stay at the club but I wouldn't mind him leaving, at the end of the day we managed our worst home defeat in our history and lost the most ever games at home and finished 14th so I really don't care if we sell or release the whole squad and start again.

re Brown - people constanbtly said the same about Doyle, Douglas, Derry, Gregan - too few ever understood the role they played and the way that the team had ot be set up to accommodate them. That is a manager's role and if it is wrong, the manager's fault. No use blaming the player.

Another example from LUFC's very recent archives is having Clayton and Pugh in centre midfield while Snoddy is on one wing and White on the other, in a 442. In such a scenario, our centre midfield will be overrun, and we will fail to control the match. Lo and behold, that is exactly what happened every time. Swap Claayton and Pugh for any two centre midfielders, and with suchj a strategy, it makes no diofference. You could have the world's best midfielders there, but they would be overrun every time.

Brown has shown he CURRENTLY has the best engine of the lot of them. He is fit as a fiddle, and would do a much better job than most other players we have a chance of attracting and getting.

But he is 35. He will nto be able to compete at this level for much longer. Warnock will take a decision based on seeing him at ER and TA whether he believes he has another full season in him or not. And we will find out tomorrow

He also has that fear factor about him, I'd bet any money he growls as he chases the ball down. He must be very imtimidating to play against. The fear of a broken bone must be in the back of the oppositions mind! I'd give him another season.

Did someone mention Gregan? FFS that tosser was a total carthorse!! Look, Brown will not drive us on towards glory next season, his wages will be better used towards fresh blood. £10k a week is high for Leeds, he can't stay at 35 on that money. He was on close to double at Pompey who still have a number of players on seriously high wages, and that has hurt them. Brown needs to go, but Colin may keep him on a lower wage, £4k would be more sensible.

Do you know for certain he's on 10k p/w? Not doubting you, just never seen any confirmation on it <ok>
I'm not saying I wouldn't offer him a contract on lower wages, I'm just saying he's been very good this year! Would be very glad if we kept him. He's certainly earned his (supposedly much higher) wages a hell of a lot more than Vayrynen, Pugh or even Clayton this season.

Clayton's been good, don't get me wrong, but I think he's been a bit overrated. Admittedly I haven't seen as much of us as I'd have liked to this season, but when I have seen him he hasn't looked head and shoulders above everyone else, he's just been tidy. Obviously though I haven't seen every game, so it's just down to opinion really

Clearly wants to go as he has not signed contract, we could get a possible fee from tribunal, but more likely wishing him good luck in Turkey, (ps. I am sure your fair skin will love the sun)

    Michael Brown
Box to box player who is passed his best, he is not suited to the holding role, as his Red cards have shown.

    Mikael Forssell
    Not done enough to stay

    Transfer List
    Ramon Nunez
Too little to offer the team in terms of overall performance.

    Robert Snodgrass
Only 1 year left on contract so its time to transfer list until he signs new contract, a 3m fee reinvested would be a bonus (but no doubt it would be undisclosed and disappear).

    Patrick Kisnorbo
If we can we should get him off the books

Hes played almost every game. Early season he was miles better than any other player. Probably tired abit, not the fittest lad and has never played regularly at this level before. Whereas brown was absent from the team for half the season...no comparison
