It is about time we get a decent sponsor (money wise i mean, nothing against KRBS). The board seem to have their heads screwed on and we are a club who has proven we can compete in the prem, we were a little tiny side and managed to get there and stay there for a while. Our fans have never been seen as the most passionate, but just look at the situation with us returning to The Valley to answer that one. Any company out there should in theory be happy to be associated with us, we are a London club, have a reasonably large fan base and fans walking around in a Charlton shirt are essentialy a walking advertisement. Be good to see if the Nike rumours are true, maybe the new sponsors will actually stay on the shirt for more than 3 months...
After news that we will definitely be having a new kit manufacturer next season, here is my offering...
If we have Nike and 02, we will scarily look like Arsenal. As for a yellow kit, there was an option for a yellow and royal blue a season or two ago that looked amazing. I really, really hope they go with that option, as I loved our yellow away kits.
Can but agree Super, reckon the design by Eastbourne should go to the club for consideration since it is one of the better ones I have seen. On the manufacturer front, who would you want, an international name like Nike or Adidas where the kit is in reality made in sweatshops in China, Thailand or Vietnam or try to promote a UK manufacturer that might cost us a bit more? As for the away kit, the black away kit from the premiership days was always my favourite but the two blues has some heritage from our Catford colours.
When I was younger I would have loved Nike or Adidas, but right now I would prefer Umbro. But the rumours of Nike seem too strong to be wrong now.
i thought we had them for one more year. thats good then, as much good as krbs and macron have been, we should be due a lot more money if we sign up for new deals now o2 and nike would do me!
2009/2010 2010/2011 2011/2012 I think those were the three seasons for KRBS, but may be wrong. Maybe the deal was signed in '09 but not bought in to '10?
