    Mornning all!

Now that some of us have recovered from the weekend celebrations we can sit back and relax revelling in the tension and heartbreak that is the play offs. Who do we think will contest the final at Wembley. I have a sneaking suspicion that this may be Cardiff's year. Look forwared to haering Fat Sam's excuses!

The othe match I find very diffiicult to call but Holloway seems to have the knack of getting a result when he needs one so can see a Blackpool Cardiff final. Especially if the rumours about Hughton going to West Brom are accurate.

The greatest thing about the play offs is that WE ARE NOT IN THEM.<party> Happy, happy days.

I want Cardiff to beat West Ham (because I am evil<devil>), then either Brum or Blackpool to prevail.

I'd like to see Cardiff go up, for several reasons, most of them irrational. I haven't forgotten the fantastic day I had in Cardiff with my dad and my son and several thousand Saints fans back in 2003, despite the result. I thought the people of the city were really welcoming that day. I also love that Bob Marley song their fans sing - for that alone, they deserve to go up, and also for being as good as Liverpool for 90 mins at Wembley this year.

That said, the stats actually suggest that the team that finishes 3rd goes up most often (4 from the last 6). West Ham may have too much quality in their squad for Cardiff, and then I couldn't bet against them getting the job done in the final. And why not? They're a great club with a proud history, many of their fans, like many of ours, are from families that used to work on the boats or the docks, and I really don't see why some Saints fans are anti West Ham just because we've been neck and neck with them all season. That should foster respect, not resentment.

South Wales derby in the Premier League. Who'd have ever predicted that?

Indeed. Didn't Swansea go from the 4th Division to the 1st and back down to the 4th in consecutive seasons in the 70s?

I don't think you'll find them quite so welcoming for a league match against them!

Yep neither sets of fans are angels. Saw a couple of posts from Hull fans who got a lot of grief at Upton park on Saturday. Bet all police leave is cancelled for Thursday.

If Cardiff can sneak win at home then Fat Sam et al will be under huge pressure at home on Monday. They are desperate for a big crowd, full page adverts in the Metro today, offering cut price tickets.

I think Birmingham will go up, beating West Ham on penalties in the final!

Brum will lose to Blackpool and Chris will then go off to WBA to replace Roy, and Cardiff will beat West Ham but Blackpool will beat Cardiff in the final....

Cardiff...for obvious reasons! With Swansea, that's two away games within 40 mins drive..:1980_boogie_down:
