da da, da da da, John Arne Riise. Riise returns to Anfield tonight for the first time since he left in 2008. There is no doubt that Riise was great for us, and his left foot is more powerful than a nuclear bomb. I hope every one in the stadium gives Riise a great reception tonight. That way, hopefully he wont do this: Or this: Or this: He looks so young in that last one. John Arne Riise = Legend
Remember when he broke Alan Smith's leg with a free kick? That will always sticks with me for some reason.
One of my favourite players of the premier league era, quality player with some amazing goals. If Rooney/RVP/Aguero scored goals like that this season, they'd be plastered all over the news
Until this season with Enrique coming in, I haven't been happy with our left back position since Risse. Great player, good throw on him too.
watching those has made me realise i dont feel particularly attached to many of the players we have at the moment compared to players like riise
The commentary on the third clip. "There's never been a goal keeper born who could keep this out" so true.
This always cracked me up, American commentating ( Boston goals) at its finest.... If you pause at 20 seconds in I believe you will also find another judas...
"Release the Kraken" Brilliant- utterly irrelevant phrase. Well, they're both Norwegian, but that's about it.
That commentator loves the game but his phrases, isms, and all that are just random as ****. It is worse when he commentates on the I tie league or the south american leagues. Suddenly he has a weird spanish twang to everything. Back to Riise, another thing that sticks out for me is that own goal against Chelsea, that is eternally burned into my brain. Also the PK to win us the CL.
The riise song was always one of my faves no doubt we'll blast it out a few times tonight mate. A class player, genuine fella and undoubtedly one of our better players of the last twenty years
Very good player who lost form towards the end of his stay here and was moved on at the right time. Lets not forget he cost us a third European final in 4 years because of his lack of right foot. Sorry to be the party pooper, but its true.
Legend. He's been tweeting about looking forward to coming back and being nervous for like the last 4 days! https://twitter.com/#!/RealJohnARiise3
