Just thought it might be interesting to recall all of the management staff of the Bristol Football Clubs who have passed on to bigger and better things.
Which club they were with in Bristol; where they are now and why they moved on.

Last point; Who seems to have dropped the biggest clanger by getting rid of them?

    Trollope

Still don't think we would have gone down if he'd stayed. Sure, he wasn't pulling up any trees at the end of his tenure but we did well under him and he was a hell of a lot better than what came after <shudder>

Now doing very well with Birmingham.

They won't admit it but City fans must look enviously at the success Tony Pulis has had at Stoke.

Joe Jordan's doing alright as Harry's right hand (hard) man at Spurs.

How about Roy Hodgson, the current England candidate, who was sacked by our friends across town

Not too sure about that Blue, It seemed to me Trolls had lost the plot, maybe he may have kept us up by the skin of our teeth but the rot set in after LL was booted out.

I would agree that he was having a bit of a wobble, but staying up by the skin of your teeth is better than relegation - ask the Teds, they're celebrating like they won the Champion's League.

A new season is a new beginning, so who knows, he may have rediscovered his touch and led us upwards. One thing's for sure, what came after Trolls was hideous.

    Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I agree with you both. Trolls was a good man, a good coach and a good motivator. Not sure about manager as when he was left to his own devises after Lennie left, he fell apart and ultimately helped send us down again. I hold no grudge on Trolls though. He gave us all some great memories and good times following a painful couple of years. I wish him well, but it was his time to go IMO. Just a shame the board followed up with a couple of disastrous appointments.
