It's hardly the self destruct button. There's barely been a week where Barmby hasn't done or said something that's made me shake my head wondering what he's playing at. If he hadn't been "one of our own" he'd have had fans turn on him even before March. The most surprisingly poor thing with hm has been his media handling, I expected a former England international who's played for big clubs like Tottenham, Liverpool, and Everton to be much better at playing the media to relieve pressure on his players and to keep fans onside than he's been. That said, if he's been suspended purely on the back of saying he wants to sign some players then it's clearly wrong. I suspect it's more for alluding to other things behind the scenes, failing to deny (and therefore confirming) that we're after Tomlin from P'boro (hopefully somebody beats us to the little diving twat) or for revealing something else he shouldn't have that we haven't picked up on yet.
I posted just yesterday that I expect to Hull to disappear into obscurity next season...looks like this is the start of it. I fear for them but I hope it doesn't affect them to badly. I know they hate us, but I feel nothing for them. If anything, I like to see small clubs do well against the odds.

Barmby offered you some stability after Nigel left because he already knew the players and the set up. Now that has gone some of your better players might not want to stick around. I heard Chester is looking for a move closer to his home and the rumours that we are going back for Cameron Stewart have already started. Players like Matty Fryatt and Jack Hobbs dont respond well to changes which is something we all know all too well. Man U arent going to want to send their young players to a circus. Your owners cant be that easily offended, they took everything what happened between the clubs when Pearson left and in January personally. Something is going to have to give at Hull now

Nigel Pearson is a proven good manager. Barmby may be a good manager and maybe better then Pearson who knows but the simple fact of the matter is he isnt proven and hasnt achieved what Pearson has so you cant compare them
