Think if City don't win the title this year they will next, for me they are 3players away from dominating the prem and being a force in Europe

    Matts Hummels
    Javi Martinez
    Eden Hazard

put them three in the City team and they would be outstanding

Hummels is unbelievable, his partner Subotic is quality as well.

I can't see Hazard at City, it'll be one of United, Arsenal & Spurs.

His style is pure Arsenal, but then he will want to win trophies, so it's gotta be United!

I've watched Hummels a few times and he's so close to being flawless it's scary. I like City but they have a good enough squad to have comfortably won the league this season, and the fact that they may have surrendered it to a relatively average Utd side is disappointing.

I agree with all of that.

Hummels, as you say, is a close to the perfect defender as I have seen, his reading of the game is unreal, a bit like Woodgate (whi would have been one of Englands finest ever, without the fitness problems), it's like the ball is drawn to him.

On the rare occasion that his positional play doesn't give him an easy mop up, his man marking and tackling skills come in, and are just awesome.

The fact he's a massive unit (6'3), relatively comfortable on the ball, and only 23, completes the package.

If he leaves Dortmund, it will be for a mega-club only , for eye-watering money.

The first time I watched Hummels was the champions league game against Arsenal earlier in the season over in Germany. He was absolutely outstanding, his defensive side was flawless as you have said but what also stood out was how good he was on the ball, he was even going on runs from centre back and balls he was playing over the top into the channels wer absolutely fantastic.

yeah, he's a bit 'Beckenbauer' in that respect, he'll win it, look up, no out-ball, carry it, look up...

He is just outstanding, easily the best young defender on the continent, Subotic is more of an out-and out defender, he was actually higher rated than Hummels initially.

yer I like Subotic as well its scary that they are both only 23 and are two of the best centre backs in the world IMO

I like watching Dortmund as they have some really impressive players, the likes of Gotze, Kagawa, Lewandowski upfront have really stood out for me and I wouldn't be suprised to see Jurgen Klopp getting one of the top jobs in the next couple of years.

As well as the French league we should certainly be seriously getting our scouts to Bundesliega games

Klopp has been unbelievable for them Poolie.

They we outsiders for CL last season, romped it.

Then the acid test, lost Sahin, who was a MASSIVE influence to Madrid, Gotze stepped up grandly to the plate.

They nearly went bust a few years back, amazingly, and look at them now!

Lewandowski is another sign of Klopp's brilliance, signed, poor start, behind Barrios, thinking of leaving, chance, mentality right, bang, 20+ season!

I love 'Kuba' as well (i'm not even attempting to spell his name!), but he's been a bit hot and cold this season, and last!

    That's him.

And I know you cut and pasted that ;)

Small, low centre of gravity, I really like him.

Liverpool won't sign him, cos he's not ****.

    Hence Kuba ;)

I quite like Guerrero of Hamburg, Pander at Hannover & Augusto at Leverkusen, they'd be 3 canny buys!

We SHOULD, but I doubt we do.

We were quite strongly linked with Marcel Janssen mind, suggesting we've at least had a look, pre-season was there as well.

If we're honest mate, we haven't got a clue where we'll be looking under MON!

Augusto problem, like I think we discussed, may be physical, he's 'Riveros build'

Surely though we will have a scouting network set up all around the world not just in Europe, I'm sure when Bruce was in charge it was either Bruce or Quinn that said we have our scouts take in double figure amount of games each weekend

A lot of that is 'we have a guy who watches games for several clubs and gives the best tips to the ones who give him the best sweetener'.

To my knowledge, we only have a coupe of official scouts.

    Nowt at all Poolie.

Giroud is fantasy mate, he is way beyond us.

Montpellier are going to be champions, and CL is assured, they will only sell for crazy money.

I'm no fan of Ya Konan mind, there was talk of Toivenen a while back, but he's another I don't fancy at all!

Fabio Quaggliarella is likely to be available for around €6million...

Not a foreign player but I heard we have a deal in place for Danny Rose.

I see Arsenal have agreed a deal for Podilski, good signing for them.
