I agree wth this - he was looking ok before his injury and this may be just what he needs to get hmself back on track. A regular run of games and a few goals and we might even get our money back on him.

Agreed - he looked every bit a premier league player before he picked up a bad injury - he then lost confidence (wonder how many on here have had a hand in that eh?) - the lad is 19 years old and we're offering him a lift to get rid of him - like we did for George McCartney etc. - People need to realise that supported teams and players often play better than ones who are constantly slagged off. I think a loan will do him good - When O'Neill first saw him he said he saw a big future for him and he was a big part of his plans - so obviously the lad has talent - he just needs a bit of time to get sorted and he'll be a good player.

At this stage of his career a loan period should be beneficial to him, and if he cant break into the first eleven, cut the losses and let him go. He will still play football and earn a very good living, nomatter where he ends up.
I hope he makes a lot of people eat their words...He is only 18 year old, has been dogged by injuries, and some on here are writing him off for Christ's sake.
Well said, an 18 year old kid with a massive price tag, he didn't set his own price which has heaped pressure on him. He has had some injuries and its been a big step up for him so what do some of our fans do, slag the lad all over just to make sure he feels as bad as possible, ffs
