From day one the players didnt play for him, the crowd were chanting kennys name and he had no chance. His record is decent, the fact hes managed all over the world, at big clubs, small clubs and national teams, won honours, won respect and even after being giving unfair stick at Liverpool hes took West Brom up to your level almost then I think anyone outside of Liverpool fans will disagree with anything Liverpool fans have to say. You say Kenny is amazing, the rest of us laugh on uncontrolably at the stupidity of such a claim. Roy and Kenny, they are the same, 2 decent managers with alot of experience in what the do. Difference at Liverpool is Roy had no chance and Kenny gets every chance.
I thought this was a wind up when I heard it, there are not many stand outs if your going to go for an English manager and Hodgson is not the worst manager but he just doesnt stand out hes a typical manager of a bottom half prem team and IMO thats his level.
UIR You keep asking the same question but never listen to the answer. Roy didn't have the ambition required to manage our team. Regardless of the comparison between their results, we now have someone who wants the club to succeed. Achieving those aims may be difficult, but at least they are there. Hodgson told Liverpool fans that we should lower our expectations and accept being where we are- would you support a manager who told you that about your club.? Stop trying to stir it and just accept he wasn't right for us. And we don't need a fan of another club to tell us how ****ed up we were.
At the time you should of had lower expectations. I hardly think he meant avoid relegation but just dont expect top 4 and every cup in the land. Seems quite sensible to me. If United were in that position then yes, we would accept we were at a cross roads and not expect to be winning trophies for a while. If we did then bonus. The guy has ambition, how you think he doesnt I dont know. He was brought in to et you through a tough patch, you uys didnt allow his to do that and you are still in a tough patch. He wasnt going to win you the title, nor was he going to get top 4 but Kenny has zero chance of doing it either. Seriously, how you guys rate Kenny over him I do not know, no other fans rate Kenny highly, maybe a decade ago but not now. Be honest, you didnt want Roy and he was doomed from the second he put pen to paper. His time at Liverpool should not be taken into consideration when discussing the england job.

No, hes coming in after the Capello shambles and wil have to fight for every win. Chances are Gerrards England career is over as of now, hopefully Terry will follow. Regardless of my personal opinion of these guys we need something different. Maybe he will stick with the ld guard, maybe he wont. He deserves a chance and for the first time in ages I feel somewhat confident about England. Probably because I dont expect anything. I like that feeling just now. No expectation can mean no failure. Direct me to one of my anti Liverpool threads. Or a post where I have made a remark against Liverpool, one that wasnt actually a fair point. Or is it that you and a small number of others like to play the victim card. Make a thread about how hard done to you are as a club and people are going to inform you of your stupidity. Its a natural thing, if you do something wrong people will corect you. Thinking Liverpool are targeted by the FA in a bid to ruin the club as they have an agenda against Liverpool and the people of merseyside is quite frankly insane and if you or anyone else has an issue with me or anyone else pointing htis out then please seek help. Otherwise as I said, please show me where I have slagged your club off. I manage to have perfectly fine conversations with most on here, discussing the same points.
