Although Arsenal are not sure to retain 3rd place in the league, the real battle is on 4th spot, even though normally, that only guarantees a two match knockout to enter the group stage of the Champions League.
This year, however, there is a twist, since if Chelsea beat Bayern Munich, only 3 other teams from the Premiership will enter the Champions League next season.

So, 3rd place is a definite plus, whilst 4th place is a maybe!

Nevertheless, 4th place is up for grabs and all contenders have matches they could easily lose. all Spurs have to do, of course, is win all their matches and the battle for 4th spot is over!

Wednesday could be a massive factor in this.
Spurs visit the Reebok and the Geordies take a trip to Stamford Bridge.
A big game for each of the four sides.

    Thanks for stating the obvious.

Unfortunately for Spurs to win their remaining matches is not as simple as it sounds, 2 of our opponents are battling against relegation.

What does work in our favour is that Chelsea and Newcastle still need to play each other, and Bayern Munich will be playing the final on home soil (though this is a very small advantage in this case)

Chelsea losing all their games would also help us a lot!

chelsea v newcastle to draw is the best result, I think. 2 points dropped for both sides. we MUST win, again.

3rd is still up for grabs! Norwich and West Brom will not be easy games for Arsenal!

I'm hoping for a Newcastle win, as they still have to play City and are likely to lose that - that combination would give us the greatest margin for error.

As long as City win tonight. If they lose, then the wind will be taken out of their sails. Also, Liverpool could do us a favour and beat Chelsea. So a draw on Wednesday and 2 defeats, we will be over the line with 2 wins.

The easiest way to look at is, if we win all three remaining games, fourth is ours. If not, anything can happen. And probably will!

Yes, but they wont have the same crowds behind them as they usually do, technically it is a neutral venue so the only advantage gained is that they are used to the pitch...

If one thing shows the importance of the mind thing in football, it's home advantage.

Can't argue with that, has been the case for at least two decades though and it's only going to change if we win something big, vicious cycle.,

It's much more evident now that we actually have a good team though, on paper better than Arsenal, Liverpool, maybe even United; still unable to dominate.

Bolton will be tough. they are scrapping for their lives. Norwich is on Great Yarmouth seafront eating 99s. I think BMJ could be the fly in our ointment. The best possible resut is for the barcodes and Chavs to draw. Personally I think Chelsea have such a head of steam they will crush them. Hope I'm wrong
