<peacedove>Considering the FA cup on Saturday, and I think it is going to be a good idea if we rest Suarez and Gerard
against Fulham tomorrow. The last thing we want is injury to any of our key players.
At the same time we would like to finish above Everton, but that is of lttle importance to me if we can win the FA cup on
    Saturday.<ok>

Yes. It's just a pity that we can only have 3 substitutions.

    yes - 2 reasons

    1. we need em both fresh and uninjured for Sat
    2. If Fulham turn us over we can point to their absence as an excuse! :)

I think they need to be on the bench at least and given 30mins at the end of the game - just to keep them sharp

People may argue that we don't need to worry about the league but we still have pride to play for, plus I really want to finish above Everton. There isn't that much of a gap between us and 13th position so it's important we finish strongly.

I would be inclined to start with Carroll over Suarez (if fully fit). I'm not fussed about Gerrard - he's been off the boil for a few seasons now and put in only a few decent shifts in that time. I still maintain that we play better without him.

I'm sure we'll see the inclusion of Maxi and Kuyt to the starting lineup though - benefits of having a good squad this season. Imagine who we would have played this time last season or the season before - Poulsen, Voronin, Jovanovic!

I can see the point of reducing the risk of injury, but tiredness? I'm sure the poor little lambs can manage.

    You missed Weatabix.

I think I'd go for a mixed team and give some people a chance of last minute selection for the final.

    ------------Reina---------------
    Kelly----Skrtel---Coates---Enrique
    Maxi--Spearing--Shelvey-Downing
    --------Kuyt-----Suarez----------

I'd rather not risk Suarez getting injured or banned for the final. Apart from that I'd be happy with that team - maybe Sterling could get a run out to give downing a rest as well.

never got a chance to reflect on your match with Norwich....must say it is the best hattrick i have seen in a long time..perfect and all 3 were great strikes that oozed confidence....build your team around that fella and you will be back in the top 4.

I'd start with Suarez. Don't stop a striker when he's on a run! Take him off early though.

Maybe keep Gerrard off being the old man 'n all lol.
