Morning all... Not a lot on today... So keep all banners or flags tucked away as its not even worth getting them out in the first place...

On a personal note my 25/1 shot came in last night with Jason Duffner winning the golf, but all winnings will have to wait till tomorrow before re betting anything of it...<cheers>

Good luck to all who do indeed play on whats on offer today...<ok>

Cheers Wooly... I dont get 25/1 winners at the horses so its always nice when a big on comes in, whatever the sport...!!! Though i did have Neptune Collognes in the GN, but the long odds winners for me are very rare...<ale>

What's happening with the 2000 at the weekend. When was it last run on heavy ground?

    8.25 Wolvehrampton – Uprise 3/1 (BOG)

Having looked at all the runners in the race the one I keep coming back to is the Sir Michael Stoute trained Uprise. This Cheevley Park Stud owned Gelding showed plenty of promise in three maidens as a juvenile last season and makes lots of appeal on his handicap debut off a lenient looking mark of 73. The drop down to 6f may well be a positive judging by his performance when running 4th to the very smart Bonfire at Salisbury last September. He showed plenty of speed that day and I am hoping he can outclass his rivals here.

I'v done two today just for the interest and both go at Wolver, Red Cape 2/1 7:55 and Uprise 3/1 8:25 and have a sneaky 20 on Tevez @ 6/1 1st goalscorer, it's written in the stars right?!

Going to be a bleak week racing wise i think unless this weather improves vastly.

    Goodluck to everyone today.

I dont have any banners let alone a no bet one so I am on TAKHREEJ 20-1 6.25 Wolves. Fit from the jumps and is on too good a mark to be ignored at that price.

The lesser-spotted Rishi has been discovered presenting the snooker. Just waiting for Steve Davis to start saying "listen Rishi, he's a lovely player who we like alot"

I see the AW is mopping up the flat fixtures, Kempton taking over the Ascot card this week. I always wanted the 1000gns to be run around Southwell, perhaps it might happen now <laugh>. Very good work by the folks at Kempton to get this card sorted.

evening all-horrible day out and a horrible looking all weather card to go with it but will be having a wee punt on ducal to win the next at Kempton after he beat most of this lot last month and is only up 3lbs.Looking forward to watching the big game tonight even though i'm not a fan of either team but i'm surrounded by utd supporting work mates so will be hoping for a city win just to shut them up!.Could be a night were the midfield is shut out and a set piece could win it so might have a little dabble on vinny kompany for first goal scorer at big odds.

    Hello lads.

Lovely day..patio drinks then a couple of bbq'ed ribeyes with a big bottle of Merlot.

Nothing for me today again.Just saw Judd Trump traded at 1/250 in running against Ali Carter and choked.

Wonder if anyone got their pinkies burnt.

Nice nosh Dex - just about to get stuck into some fresh asparagus, boiled ham, new potatoes drizzled in melted butter. A nice, crisp Sauvignon Blanc to wash it down with then settle down for the match. I'll have to lock my wife and her mother in the kitchen or summat or I'll have no peace. God they can talk though - yak yak yak yak yak from morning till evening. I've no idea what they find to talk about.

I am working late so it will be a slice of toast and a cup of Roibos (sp) for my tea. Brilliant.

Rooibos Nass - comes from the Afrikaans word for "red bush" - the South African version of ginger minge <ok>
