Gervinho must score in the last 2 games.

All season we have relied on RVP to get the goals, and he has delivered, now he must have some support from other forwards. Without Theo no-one else is contributing. For me the jury is very much out on whether Gervinho is worth his place . He needs to step up and earn his wages.

Hey man I have my doubts about him too but I think he deserves another season. It's not everyone who can adapt fast to the pl. Having said that this year or next there will be culling in the Wing position and if we did HAVE to let someone go this year it would be gervinho but I would wait till next year otherwise we might just regret it. Remember nasri didn't have a spectacular first season.

CB that is the only reason that I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. but he has a great opportunity to make an impact, without underestimating either team Norwich and WBA are the kind of games he should be scoring in.

Gervinho has been an epic disappointment.(after a good start)

We dont need a forward who cant score goals.

Question is though will he even.play in both these games. He has as you put it been disappointing and should aoc play in the next game with benayoin (who had a great game) i dont see him playing in the last game. These are tough games which we have to win! For now i.would put aoc ahead of him.

Good point Cb, however I think he will play a role in both, maybe coming on from the bench. It does show that we have a terrible lack of goal scorers at present a situation which must be addressed over the summer.

Gervuno has not shown any signs of being a top-6 quality forward. In a team like ARsenal who create so many chances, half chances, his return is appalling.

What has ben striking about his play for me is that he is a little light weight for our league (like Theo, gets easily knocked off the ball), and his first instinct when presented with teh chance to run on goal and shoot, or even to shoot, is to look for support or to to play it to someone else. Really surprised by this aspect of his game as in a couple of pre-season games he looked promising.

If he'd had a season like Torres, who has shown desire and has got into position to score and not been afraid to have a go, I would have said yes gve him another go, but what has he shown in his forst year that suggests he will come good?

We shouldn't be thinking about who to keep - we should just be bold and go out and get some proper goal scorers and then turf out those forwards who have been rubbish over the last season or two.

Gervinho is just another Chamakh in disguise, when is Wenger going to realise that rejects from the French league can't cut it in the Prem?

Buying donkeys like these instead of class players is getting us nowhere.

Gervinho is decent, he HAS shown glimpses of what he can do, his finishing has been way off though.

He runs at defenders and causes panic, I like that. I'm happy to see him start and happy to see him here next season. He does need to start putting the ball in the back of the net though <ok>

I could name 10 players I'd see go before him.

  12. Hmmmnnn..... let me see. Who was it who picked Gervinho?

    Ah yes, Arsene Wenger!!!

Which is why I think the time is near. We need change and soon before the whole world gets used to us being a side that chases 3rd or 4th place.

Back to Gervinho about whom I'd say is due a second year of appraisal. There are others who have to walk the plank before him. This time next year we'll know if he is for keeps.

err... chamakh and gervinho were not rejects at all. chamakh had just come off the back of 3 very good season with bordeaux (2nd, 1st and 6th). gervinho had just come off the back of 2 great seasons with lille (4th and 1st). they were both top players at top french clubs. hardly rejects are they

Gervinho was easily one of our best 3 players before he went to the african cup. He created countless chances (if not assists, the move that initiated the goal).

    He will come good.
