Okay I stand corrected - managed two high profile teams and done sweet FA with either of them, Milan he took to the dizzy height of 7th in his only full season and I cannot remember where Liverpool finished but they were certainly glad to see the back of him.
RH will pick all those players, Terry with a racist slur over his name shouldn't even be in any team at the moment, not only will he pick them he won't be able to control the massive ego's they all have and once again it will be a summer of disaster where the England team is concerned.
Simon I hope he proves me wrong and manages to win us the Euro's but I can't see it. Personally (if it has to be an English manager) I feel Harry should have walked it although I understand those that disagree, indeed comparing the two side by side on Wiki Roy on paper would looks the better bet. However the majority of the public feel the same way and that it should have been harry, I can't see Roy getting much support from the fans, after his failure with Liverpool if he doesn't get England playing attractive football and winning straight away they will turn on him quicker than any other England manager. The majority of Leeds fans wanted Warnock after Grayson was shown the door, for a change the chairman listened, what other manager could have got us off to such a terrible start and still had the fans backing? fans still chanted Warnocks name after a 7-3 thrashing at home, it doesn't matter how good or bad you are a manager needs the fans on his side of the pressure builds, the tension spreads through the team and every decision you make gets looked at through a fine looking glass. Hodgson won't be popular with the fans, if he doesn't get off to a flying start he won't be in the job long....
