Guys, it simply won't happen. No way would Warnock make a signing that would split the crowd. He's got a lot to do in a short space of time & it's essential that the crowd are as one behind the team. Dissension is the last thing we need next season. Just another small point re. Smith. His departure has been well discussed over the years, and we all know the financial sacrifice he made for the club. But we NEVER discuss the financial sacrifices that the rest of the squad NEVER made. Every last manjack insisted on being paid every last penny. Did we jeer when THEY kissed the badge? I think not. He was not the only 'villain' of the piece and we all forget that.
If an older, wiser head is needed in midfield to guide the likes of Clayton and Thompson along, one of the few former players I'd be happy to have back is Shaun Derry who, unlike Smith, is still performing week in week out at the highest level. A much better alternative to Smith, and has stated that his career highlight was playing for Leeds United. And before anyone mentions the 'mole incident', it wasn't Derry who passed on the team info to Palace. While we're at it, I'd be happy to see Clint Hill come in. Seasoned pros like Derry and Hill can still do a great job at Championship level. Their experience would be invaluable to the younger players.
Its Neil Warnock's choice, but unlike some I wont let any players past stop me supporting the team. If they are ex Leeds, ex Chelsea or even from the lesser United I will support them if they are delivering in a white shirt.
Do the "he's a traitor" group also hold such a longstanding stem of hatred for Gordon Strachan, the man who - alongside Sgt Wilko - turned our club around and made us successful once again? Pathetic. Grow up.
I have no problem with not wanting him as you think he is no longer good enough to do a job. But claiming he is not a Leeds fan is rewriting history as is claiming he is some kind of traitor. The only traitors are those with hatred as a heart
I have no grudge against him for what happened. But I don't think he'll add much now to our team anyway. We can get someone better who will command lower wages I think

Still no-one found a photo? Anyone got any proof he ever supported Liverpool? I remember these daft suggestions coming out, but didn't think there was actually anyone stupid enough to believe them. Looks like I've found one or two.
he never kissed the badge But I wouldnt have him back tbh we need to move on from past players, Look for the future I though Zac Thompson looked very good on Saturday
debateable as to whether hes actually kissing the badge their But either way hes not good enough for a team that are pushing for promotion.
He's actually about to wipe his nose on it! Still, don't want him back, he's not exactly hitting the headlines with MKD is he?
Don't want him back but he certainly isn't kissing the badge and if he was I wouldn't care, I don't see why it matters, have you only ever kissed one girl in your life?
That sounds like something a half-scum, half-Arsenal glory supporter would say. "Why can't I enjoy good football from loads of teams?" Terrible analogy!
