Hodgson was always second favourite in my eyes. Given that the favourite's club have spent months trying to pillage them for money while the manager himself has flopped under the pressure, I think the FA would have been hammered if they didn't do this.

I think Hodgson is a good builder, and so would be a good appointment for the start of the World Cup qualifiers. But if we're looking for someone to step in for the Euros, I still think Harry is the man for the job. My money is on them doing those respective jobs.

I think Dyche is being a bit optimistic with £200k. Better up it to a quarter of a million to be on the safe side.

I think that's a great comment. Not because it highlights the issues we have with finances but that he is open and honest about it and there is no illusion that we will make any big names.

    Nice cuppa, thanks Ak.
Just popped to thank everyone for their company over the season; a lot of you know how much it means to me even if if I don't post too often.
From this distance it feels like a very successful campaign- very proud of Sean and the lads.

Hope to have sorted out a car with manual controls by next season- may get to some games! :1980_boogie_down:

    Morning all

We've seen at least 3 minutes of sun this morning...long enough to sit down with a coffee while the next shower approaches. Blossom on the fruit trees but all the bees are at home in front of the fire

One thing young Pennant does is excel at finding off-field trouble.

Afternoon all from a bright and sunny Bandit Country - been a long long week-end with all the celebrations for Little Miss W_Y's 21st birthday and just got the house straight.

Now waiting for the grass to dry out a bit more before attempting to cut it...then I will have a quick sleep again!

Afternoon all. Its been a mixed day today, first i had to get up at 7 to look after my brother cos my mum and step-dad had to rush to see my Grandad who was very ill in hospital. Then my brother told me i had to help him with his maths homework after having only 4 hours sleep!! Not Happy!!! However, he then went off to school and i got to go back to bed for another 3hours sleep. Just got back from town having paid in some money, had lunch and checked out some new phones. However, the day has been spoiled by a phone call from mum to say that Grandad has passed away. He had been very ill in the past month with a heavy bleeding, then sickness and then was in hospital for pneumonia the past 4/5 days. He was no spring chicken though at about 96yrs.

Sorry to hear about your loss Dan - I presume that as it was your Mum at the hospital, it was your maternal grandfather.

I know you may not want to think about this at the moment, but find out what the situation is with Uni regarding assignments that have still to be handed in from your head of department/senior tutor for the course.
