    For me its Colback....

Now I wasn't his BIGGEST fan at the start of the season - but that may have been down to Bruce.

However Colback for me is our best CM. He is calm and collected on the ball, he seems smooth and can pick a ball out. That pass for Bendnter was awesome.
IMO Colback should be our number 1 CM. His goals will come, he has the ability to shoot as showing against Boro. Just needs to get into the right positions.

I do like Catts...however I don't know where he will fit into our team. 2 CM - 1 is Colback and another for a flair, creative player. Catts won't want to be on the bench.

If Colback is getting these raves now then it surely shows that it is worth persisting with youngsters until they become first team quality. Build a team rather buy it.

No two ways about it, A home grown star of the future. And he`s not doing a shabby job right now. How many more will come through in the future. I dont know. But as you said he virtually picks himself at the moment. And long may it continue.

Whatever happened to David Meyler? Thought he was going to be the next best thing to sliced bread. I know he has been injured, but doesn't seem to get a look in, even off the bench.
I agree about Jack, thought he was a bit negative when he first started, but he has matured very well. he reminds me of Paul Scholes, always looking around to see where his team mates are and where the opposition are, and he can tackle.

Sums up the ref perfectly - I never saw him say to Davies "That's the 9th foul you've committed and I warned you the previous 8 times!" Davies committed a two footer in the first 10 minutes which easily could've seen red - and he never got booked. His challenge on Sessegnon for the goal was a yellow in itself and worse than Catts yellow - still nothing!! Along with 8 other fouls in the game and never got spoken to - yet Cattermole get's booked for his second foul - which, I agree, was a yellow card, but not when compared to Davies!!

I rate Cattermole and agree Saturday was his worst game for us since MON took over - I rate Colback but Cattermole just gets the nod for me - a few times this season Colback has missed a good opportunity then vanished from the game - he seems to retreat when that happens which will most likely just be an age thing - bit more maturity and I think he is going to be a fantastic player for us. Cattermole is the best defensive midfielder at the club when fully fit - he has proved that and one poor game in 4 or 5 months doesn't change my opinion on him.

in 2 weeks time the season will be over... All done and dusted and no more football (that interests me) until August (Sick of international footy now and not really bothered by it!)

And you are an idiot with a chip on your shoulder because of Chopra and Clark - get over it man!

As I have said before NOT ALL GEORDIES ARE NEWCASTLE SUPPORTERS. I am very close friends through work (Work in gateshead) with a group of geordies and it's split down the middle for Sunderland and Newcastle supporters.

Or should we all write to Martin o'Neill and ask him to sell one of the best players to have come through the academy just because he is a geordie? As has been said - myopic idiot
