The minute he got the job over Dalglish. The whole team played like they couldn't care a **** for the bloke. Didn't give him chance, all perked up once Dalglish took over. In exactly the same way as Chelsea players allegedly did to Boas, to much outrage. Mainly from Liverpool fans.

Tbf Ruff he was chosen as our manager by Broughton(Chelsea fan)before he left,Hodgson never endeared himself to the players, singling out individuals for critisism in the papers and tactics that were ****e,he never endeared himself to the support with his arse kissing comment about Fergie, telling us it was a positive result to get beat by Everton because we were the better team etc etc etc.

Cant see many Utd supporters being happy if he was named as Fergie's successor.

No they didn't, we mustered up enough to beat Chelsea. And maybe they decided to turn their back on the stubborn ****** as soon as he plunged one of our youngsters into the deep-end against northampton and then blamed him for the defeat. Others to blame over his reign were the fans, obviously. He's a lower table manager who can get champ quality teams playing a little bit better using his 4-4-2 counter-attack, it certainly won't get England anywhere

Lets be honest here. Is Hodgson anywhere near good enough to manage an International team? No.

He's ****ing terrible to be fair.

Hark at the liverpool fan calling someone else a lower table manager!

West Brom are only two places below your lot and Woy didn't have 100 mil to spend.

so he is a lower team manager hey?

    tailor made for england then?

england have been shoite for years, why do people fall for the hype everytime?

If woy gets into the latter stages he will have done well. He is a miles better manager than 'Arry for me and doesnt deserve the stick he gets

He used to play for Tonbidge Angels FFS... even we thought he was ****, and we are ****.

He did well for Switzerland, give him some snow and be done with the old codger.

I don't see how Scousers and the fairweather Scousers can criticise Hodgson for being a poor manager whilst proclaiming Dalglish as a good manager. Liverpool are only 3 points ahead of West Brom despite having better players and resources and a shed load more money to spend. Can they not see that by damning Hodgson they are effectively saying Dalglish has done a spectacularly **** job, something which the rest of us know already?

Not now maybe but when Atkinson left perhaps. Hodgson inherited a dog **** squad when he arrived, regardless of what Benitez might say, and he set about in a pragmatic way to turn things round. He never got the chance. Some of his signings were akin to Fergie getting the likes of Ralph Milne on board, temporary horses for courses. The fans and players drove him out and now rather hypocritically say Dalglish needs time having spent a bucket of cash. Time you never gave Hodgson.

Glen Johnson had a go at him after he left Liverpool.

Johnson is rubbish who shouldn't be anywhere near the England squad anyway. Walker, Richards, Jones and Smallig (who are more centre halves than fullbacks) all miles ahead of him

I guess you know nothing about Woy, he is a very good manager. his stats show that.

    Give the bloke a chance.

He's won **** all in about 200 years. He's an average PL manager, if you honestly think he's good enough to manage our national team then fair do's. I personally don't think he's anywhere near the caliber needed to shape up a team in decline/transition. He's the safe option and an extremely easy target for the press to hammer if he fails, I can read the headlines already!

He's a better manager than Dogleash, all day long and if getting the best out of a bunch of under performers is his forte then he's all the more suited to manage England.

He is a better bet than Harry, he has a proven record with Switzerland national team.

Plus 'Arry's strength seems to be in the transfer market and he wouldn't be able to do that at International level. I'm not English but I think Woy is a damn good manager and had one blip at Liverpool.

Anyway it's not like you'd win anything if you appointed anyone else is it?

Surprised that the FA have snubbed Harry but lets be honest here, no manager in the world is going to change England's fortunes and chances in the major tournaments when we inevitably get knocked out in the quarter finals.

Also, let's not forget Fergie rejected the chance to manage England on 2 occasions and he described the job as a "poisoned chalice".

If Roy Hodgson does get the job, then i wish him well as a England supporter, i hope he takes us far but it's a job which you cannot win in due to the media pressure and the fans expectations.
