Is it time to cut him loose? He's apparently picked up ANOTHER injury.

Fraid so, I heard he was feeling ill, it's always sad to see a player who doesn't quite get there.

Yeah I was kinda thinking give him ONE more chance. but out AGAIN??

The way to solve this would be to offer him a 'pay as you play' contract. I'm sure he'd get fit then.

Can't RVP disclose his injury free secret? Let's be honest here, how the Feck did RVP play a whole season of football and keep that same intensity up until the last few games of the season and not get injured? This man would get an injury just waiting for a massage on the physio table! I think Diaby needs to do what RVP has been doing. Is it fried horse placenta and chips or something?

Not sure we should sell him yet. He is still quality and we have other players that need to go first than him. If we can get around 15 games out of him next season then that would be good. Providing we get some midfield players in.

Diaby's other problem is that he seems to play as if he is afraid of getting injured again. He is ponderous in his passing play. I still feel there is a quality player in there somewhere but it might be better to loan him out somewhere, preferably where they have a decent medical team.

He's 26 in 2 weeks time. I think we should let him go, to be honest.

He looked confident on the ball actually, but his final balls were always too heavy.

We saw this 'fear' with Ramsey though when he came back. It will be interesting to see how it will affect Wilshere and his aggressive playstyle.

reminder: Wilshere has now been away longer than Ramsey was for his double fracture.

I thought arsene had learnt but then he came out with "diaby will be like a new signing" for the 3rd year in a row recently and I lost heart!

Honestly I want to get 3rd but if we come 5th it wont be a big deal. We dont need the money to survive (our revenue will increase alot in the next few years even without cl footie) and maybe coming 5th will get wenger rebuilding.

Hmm... i wouldn't say we need rebuilding. We need to keep hold of a core group of players who are doing well. We've had to rebuild whether we liked it or not past seasons because our best players left us.

I'd keep him for one more summer. That'll give him plenty of time to get back without us rushing him due to shortages. I think he can be a great player but even I'm getting disheartened! One more summer and see what happens, more injuries, au revoir Abou :emoticon-0106-cryin.

Agreed. Some people seem to think Diaby is an amazing player, but more often than not he is rubbish. People will blame this on lack of fitness, but the fact is he wouldn't be playing if he wasn't fit. He gets caught in possession more than Ramsey is currently. He plays extremely slowly and lazily when he appears to be capable of playing faster. If he is 26 now then I don't see much hope of a future. I think the only way he could have a proper career is by starting afresh somewhere else.

and get value back from the youth investment.

  19. Yes, fed up with this guy now - he is out with a calf injury for the last 2 games. Its come down to relying o Ramsey to step up in the last 2 games and perform. We have no one else as the final midfielder of the 3. This scenario, given Ramsey's season, is the last thing we could have wanted.

Whilst I can understand the frustration people have with Diaby's injuries, I remember people saying that we should get rid of RVP because of his terrible injury record too.
