    Good Morning everyone,

Beckford spoke to the YEP after Saturdays record breaking home defeat. “I didn’t expect the reception to be as amazing as it was but I’m always surprised by the Leeds fans. It made me feel humble and it meant a lot to me.” According to the YEP, he came on as a second half substitute <doh>

Final league table shows we finished 14th <yikes>, just two places above lowly Millwall <laugh> Who would have thought we would have such a terrible season...

McCormack finished joint 3rd with 19 goals, who would have thought that two seasons ago???

Danny Webber has stated for the record that he would like to stay at ER, but doesn't know whether Warnock wants him, thoughts?

West Ham, are said to be interested in Ian Harte...Why did we not sign him when he came back from Italy....

Morning - Looking forward to seeing who the first player is tomorrow, okay we are all expecting Pearce but confirmation will be nice

Beckford I would take back but can't see it happening

I predicted we would finish 11th at the start of the season and I honestly meant it looking at the quality of other teams, my prediction was before we sold Gradel and Howson

I hope Webber doesn't stay, I think we should be looking for better but if he does to make squad numbers up and not as intention to start I won't complain.

Harte - Did we still have Bessone then? If we did I guess Bessone, Parker and White were considered as already having too many LB options.

Interesting point about Harte, think he came back to English football when we got relagated to league 1, so didn't have White or Bassone til we went back up to the Championship. Think White was used as a substitute during the latter end of our promotion season back to the Championship.

    Morning all.

Harte used to be a great attacking left back until some diddy told him the halfway line was actually the finish line. End of Harte as we knew him. It's a different Ian Hate out there now - more defensive (and much slower). I remember he scored 4 goals (all headers if I remember rightly) in a pre season friendly, plus you could rely on a barrowload from free kicks every season. That's the Hartey I remember, not the guy playing for Reading.

Webber? Not sure. Difficult to judge on the little we've seen. Seems to do all the right things apart from score. Apart from Saturday, where he did bugger all - except to score! Complete opposite of the other matches. Perhaps with a proper pre season & some quality around him, we might be albe to see what he's really like. I think he might be worth a punt.

    Webber is ****

Beckford is good but its amazing how all these people that slagged him off when he was in a Leeds shirt cheered him on Satday!

Kasper got a decent reception too which suprised me tbh

Anyone see the price of the new shirt?

Adult £40.00 Child £36.00 for the worst quality footy shirts I have ever worn!

I'm going retro for the first time this year. The shirts are overpriced & under quality. Consistant with the **** we have had on the pitch all season though I suppose. £36.00 for a kids shirt FFS!

    Afternoon all.

Agree about Webber above - with a decent pre-season I think he could be superb for us.

We have been consistently good at making decent fullbacks into rubbish, and then they go off and star in a promotion-winning/play-off team: Crainey, Harte, Harding, McCartney to name just 4.

I think it is clear that it is wrong to judge individual players in the way we do, but that we should be judging the set-up that leads to such players appearing to play so badly for LUFC, and that's down to bad management and coaching, incompetent managers unable to build a team (rather than just buy a load of individuals), and executives who refuse to buy a single quality player thus meaning you have to buy 3 or 4 medicore players who eventually cost you twice as much.

    Funny old game.

I remember our attacking full backs of the early 90's Sterland, Doreigo, Harte etc, fantastic attacking full backs giving our midfield some real umpthhhh...
