Well, TBH, it's not, my normal optimism and confidence has deserted me and I feel very flat about our club.

It feels like MON was brought in to stop us going down, everyone gave 110% then when we reached safety everyone just stopped. MON and a few pundits said how Saturday was an entertaining game, so how come I was not entertained?

We look like this will be a summer of signings but no signings that will make us jump up and down, catch our breath, we don't know but that's how it feels.

Does anyone expect us to get any more points this season? Is anyone really looking forward to the Man U game?

Are we going to do with MON like we have done with so many in the past and bring him down to our level?

A few short weeks ago life looked so different, the trio of Quinn, Short and O'Neill to take us forward, a team playing for my club, wanting to win, determined to win.

Quinn walked, rumours started of sticking to budgets, sell before you buy, Quinn's promise of breaking the transfer record to replace Bent now long forgotten, a team no longer playing to win.

I hope I'm wrong, I hope that fight returns at the weekend, I hope a rabbit is pulled from the hat in the summer, I hope but I have been hoping for years, that's the problem.

it's just the end of season jitters mate,we have a couple of pointless games to go then a few wks off then we can start getting all excited again!

with a couple new players we will be looking good and pushing for the top 10/8 next season :)

To an extent I agree mate, It's as though the job is done so let's start thinking about hoildays etc. My other train of thought is players not wanting to get injured in case they might be given selection consideration for either The Euro's or the Olympics, when the higher we can finish, the more chance we have of attracting players of Sess' calibre.

I don't know, I maybe wrong, but I don't think MON will be too happy about our last 4 four results and, in some strange way, this might make it easier for MON to identify the area's that he thinks need strengthening.

I don't want this season to fizzle out like some damp firework, I still want to see urgency, and committment, which I hope ends with as a season's crescendo against UTD !

Yippeee we can do it all again next season...

Reckon MoN will be keeping a close watch on the Euro's and Olympics for potential bargains.
