we need to be quick in the transfer window this time,if you look at teams like chelski and arsenal they have already made steps to acquire players on pre contract basis.
why are we not doing the same, chelski and man city are going to be the big spenders in the next transfer window, so talents like hazard, higuain, cavani are more likely to sign for them than us.

for us to stand any chance of actually getting quality player we need to pounce now!

players i would like to see come in are

    axel witsel 15 mil
    mario goetze 25 mill
    leandro damiao 25 mill
    Nicolás Gaitán 25 million
    ibrahim affelay 7 million
    arjen robben 15 million

    sell
    aquallani 7 mill
    kuyt 3 mill
    maxi 4 mill
    henderson 10 mill
    cole 5 mill

    team would look like this

    .................................................. riena ..................................................

    ..... gj ......................... skrtle ......................... agger ......................... enrique .....

    .............................. witsel ...................................... goetze ...............................

    .......... robben ............................................................................................ gaitan.........

    ............................................ suarez ............................................................................

    ...................................................................... damaio ..................................

    bench
    gerrard
    adam
    downing
    affelay
    carroll
    suso
    lucas
    shelvey
    kelly
    coates

    Welcome to the board <ok>

Seriously though it'd never happen no matter how fast we moved (Usain Bolt couldn't do it for us)

I read somewhere recently (after the James Perch incident) that Reina still has bad blood with Robben. Out of interest, Who is your Captain in that side?

God save Us from footy manager fanatics!!

So LFC are supposed to just throw over £100 million around on players that have no Premiership experience (apart from Robben) and have never played together.

This summer is a time for development not revolution!!

Welcome to the site. A little optimistic I think with our choices.

You're right though we do need to move quickly. Now Parry's gone we might be able to.

foredeckdave how much did we spend on carroll, henderson, adam, downing all had prem experience and look how WELL THEY HAVE played! , prem experience means didly squat in todays world, if a player is quality he will play well in any league................. so your telling me not one of the players i have listed are a improvment on what we have got.

all these players bar robben are young so i had development in mind.

No offence but why would Robben join Liverpool infact I don't think any premier league club could persuade Robben to join them.

Will Robben and Gaitan be that effective playing 1 foot apart from each other?

    And welcome to the board!

Why is Goetze playing CM when he's a winger. Also dont see Robben swapping Bayern, in the CL final, for us?

What planet are you from? The majority of games played by Premiership clubs are played in the Premiership - strange that! As I stated earlier, with one exception (and his record whilst playing in the premiership was not that good) none of you selection have experience of the pace, style of play or the physical demands of premiership foorball.

So you have development in mind? Well we have seen this season that when you make major changes in personnel (and all of them had Premiership experience) it takes far longer than most fans are willing to give to actually bed a squad down - let alone a first 11. Now those new players we already have will be far better for this years experience. But you want to throw all that out of the window and start again. That's just plain crazy!

Yes we do need to add more quality but the watchword is ADD and not REPLACE

Few unrealistic ones there, although Witsel would be a good shout and Affellay should be available for cheap, he would be a good replacement for maxi

    We need:
    1. A goalscorer (we should try to go for Higuain but realistically I hope for Soldado)
    2. Right winger (Not sure really Farfan? Navas?)
    3. Centre back cover (Agger as class as he is gets injured way too much, carra doesn't cut it any more so we are left with Coates)
    4. Box to box centre mid (hopefully sissoko)
    5. Playmaker (Banega)

Aquilani will more than likely be back(again)next season,Kenny has told Milan if they dont cough up the money for him he'd be glad to have him back.

If the twat accepts hes not wanted in his homeland and knuckles down, manages to stay keeps injury free and gives us a full season he'd be like a new signing.

    But its just.....

Enough fantasy players. I think we need RM and striker as priority. Take Suarez out and we are very ordinary. We need pace on the wing. Someone who can beat a man and cross. Adam Johnson of man city, victor Moses and maybe one more.

In my eyes we have one "World class" player and that's Suarez.

We have a few excellent players in Reina, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Lucas and Gerrard. For me we have to start filling the void between excellent players and average players. So the likes of Adam, Downing, Spearing, Henderson, Carroll etc.

Now I'm not saying we should sell most of them, but certainly shouldn't be starters if we are going to challenge for top four next season. We need to be smart this summer, and we need to find the RIGHT players. Obviously a striker and a Right-sided midfielder are a must and perhaps an attacking midfielder. Who they should be? I don't know. This is what I mean when I say we need to be smart, our scouting needs to be top notch to find the right players to fit in for the right price. If the Gaston Ramirez and Sissoko rumors are true, they'll be a very good start.

Doesn't matter if they are a name or not, but we need players to fit what our philosophy is or what we want to do as a team. If it is to build around Suarez then figure out what he wants, and we buy to fit that and the team molds to a philosophy. Can't just buy players to buy, need to be part of the vision and have the right mentality as well, a mentality that average is not good enough and to want to win trophies etc.

You should never build your team around one player. We've been too neat this with both Owen and Torres. ALL of the players in the squad have to be able to contribute in their own way to the given strategy.
