I am feeling slightly positive in a deluded sort of way. We have a chance and it is not a small chance. There is still all to play for.
Last day scenario, Citeh need a win to have a chance of the title. They have a free kick 25 yards out. Resulting Balotelli inspired brawl over who should take it results in 3 Citeh sendings off and 3 carried off injured. They have already used 1 sub, when Joe Hart broke a finger saving a Derry pile driver from 40 yards. Rs force a draw in a determined rear guard action against 7 men and stay up. We're on a mission from God, and I am fully bought into Bill's crusade.
One other point - if Roy takes the England job before the Bolton game, and it's all done and dusted, the players and he will want to sign off together on a high note, which might give them more impetuous against Bolton.
There is one big difference of course. City have qualified for the Champs League already. Thye also can't be caught for 2nd. Chelsea needed to win to keep up their slim hopes of qualification by coming 4th. They also had 14 squad players fighting for a place in the starting line up in the two finals. If City lose tomorrow night, they really do have nothing to play for. Except pride of course. But then we know that Prem league pro footballers are a bit short of of that particular commodity. So it has to be United for me tomorrow night but I hope that cheating bastard Young gets his own personal come uppance somehow.
What have I wandered into, a grasping at straws thread? Didn't think we were allowed to do that on here? You should be decapitated at Stamford Bridge for preaching such profanities! Oh wait, we had that earlier today. But I'm with you all to the finish line, I'm grasping, been for weeks to be honest. Said before the Swansea game we would have to win our three home games and hopefully get a draw at WBA to stand a chance. And also that it's not until we play Stoke (when all teams have played the same amount of games) that we know where we stand. We didn't get the draw at WBA, now we're in the **** because of that and heavily reliant on help from others / or our rivals slipping up. Anyway, Together we stand, divided we fall. You R's!
3-1 defeat for Citeh would sort us nicely. Players will be already on the beach, Balotelli may fancy giving the haters a big **** you moment and so on...
Misread your headline at first Uber, thought it read "heroin in". Bit shocked but every man to his own
In my calculations this puts Villa and possibly Wigan out of it (GD was king here), so agreed we down but definitely not out. The players need to pick themselves and show what they are made of on Saturday...Last game of the season Drama Incoming
I'm very doubtful about City being easier to beat if they have already missed out on the title. I fancy them to bottle it against us if they need to win the title against us! I'm not sure they can handle the pressure! Not sure we can either unfortunately!
Bolton only need 4 points to stay up, realistically. They are a team who can play out for draws. I'm ever the optimist, but I think they'll get 4 points
Bolton's home form is alot worse than their away form, hopefully Spurs can go there and turn them over.WBA nick a draw and Stoke do the same at home, meaning if we beat Stoke we will survive!
Iam afraid but bolton have fight their skins out in their recent matches. They have seven points from their last three matches and spurs werent so good yesterday that you could be sure that they beat bolton away. I hope im wrong but i fear that our season takes a twist to worse on wednesday night. Then again i sincerally hope that players dont feel the same.......
Stoke are the kind of spoilers who will put in a mammoth effort and beat us at Loftus Road and just as likely to roll over and let Bolton walk all over them at the Britannia. If Citeh do Utd tonight then it is all back on regarding the top spot and we are going to be slaughtered at Eastlands on the last day of the season. I want us to beat Stoke and at least nick a draw against Citeh but Bolton are likely to pick up enough points to make it all a waste of time. I'm resigned to it and can't say it bothers me as much as I would have thought. On the whole this campaign has been awful. A few big scalps aside this has been the worst I've felt as a Rangers supporter for years. I can only hope that where ever we end up next season there is more to enjoy.
