    Bland name

    Bland tactics (if in trouble, hoof it)

    I've never heard him speak and I really have no clue about him. Sometimes I even forget he's in the team - especially when you have more noticeable characters around like Enrique, Colo, Barton, Tiote and so on. Compared to them, he just sort of slinks around in the background.

    I really like him as a player, but he seems so plain in many respects.

    There are plenty blander,but because they don't play for Newcastle nobody gives a **** about them so they don't register.

    Good player, but I never noticed this, but as a person he is almost "average", and one of very few footballers you can imagine having a job and normal life in the real world.

    Can anyone name any footballers who are more bland?

    And I mean really, really bland. Just a characterless, faceless, monotone blob of mass who runs around the pitch. Someone like Ted off Scrubs, who could be sitting right next to you, but you would even notice because he's just that bland.

    Met him before, seems pretty down to earth, has lots of time for fans. Nice guy.

    I wouldnt say he is bland though, just unlike the typical modern footballer we see too many of these days (money driven, dont care about fans/club).
