Swords - I'm one of those relatively few fans who puts his money where his mouth is and attends virtually all games EVERY season (only missed Everton and Villa away this season for example)

I'm entitled to my opinion and I've given it!

There are a lot of people who shoot their mouths off without being willing to spend the time and money doing what true fans do and going to the matches

We haven't gone to any ground and taken three points since this idiot has been in charge. As a matter of fact, we haven't even had a half decent performance away from home. It's not good enough. The complete lack of fighting spirit is missing, and our travelling army deserve better. It would be easier to stomach if there was a degree of effort, but it's like Deja-vu after every away game.

One thing i do want though, is an apology. Our superb fans do not have money to burn and waste. MH needs to come out and apologise to our fans. If he thinks for one second that performance is acceptable then he really does not understand us. His apology would be useless and mean nothing of course, but no apology would be unacceptable IMO.

What about the paragraphs following. The blokes true colours are blue and white without any question. 35 years not enough for you?

999S, it's hard to argue with this. Our away form has been shocking. We just can't seem to get the balance right. MH does have to take some responsibility for this, but so too have the players. Especially when they play like today. Gutless and with no passion.

I love the Rs Swords but football is only part of my life

I'm not so obsessed that I let things get out of proportion

I'll undoubtedly get ribbed at work tomorrow, but then I've had plenty of opportunities to do similar myself given the range of clubs my colleagues support

You really need to chill Swords or your ticker will be giving up!

No point in turning on each other, we got spanked today by a team full of established internationals with their tails in the air after beating the world's best team*.

Strangely, it has been a great few weeks - even though emotionally I have been up and down like whore's drawers. Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs - amazing... Bolton, WBA and Chelsea, just a feeling of utter emptiness at the lack of fight. No-one gave us a chance with our run-in, me included, and we still have a (slim) chance of staying up.

I wanted to say though, that I respect anyone's right to say they think we are going down, this is a forum for discussion, and dissenting views are what makes it worth visiting. If we all thought the same no-one would bother to turn up. It seems that at the moment there are too may people on here who insist that others have to think like them, or who are quick to insult alternative viewpoints.

Fact is, for me, being a fan is not about slavish, myopic optimism. Sometimes the writing is on the wall and it's easier to vocalise your fears than pretend they are not there.

Today - after this result I'm 65:35 we're going down... but then if we beat Stoke and a couple of results go our way, I'll probably be a bit more cheerful, and reassess that - but it's what I think, and I'm ****ed if anyone is going to give me **** for having (and posting) an opinion on a public forum. Disagree with me, argue with me... that's part of the fun of being part of the Rangers family, even if it is a dysfunctional one!

Anyway, roll on Stoke. I have put this one down to a **** day away at the office (again)

    *arguably

Everyone has their opinions. Mine is that Hughes should stay.

He took over a team in a dire position, without a win in ages and had a slow start. But we look a different team at home now - we look organised and able to win PL games against 90% of the sides in the division.

Away from home we look a mess, and there is no excusing that. But imo getting rid of Hughes is madness. We all craved stability under FB and BE, yet many are calling for a second sacking in 4 months! That is not going to help at all.

Hughes clearly is doing something right. Give him a pre-season with the players and give him at least a year. Rome was not built in a day.

Hughes has a hard job at the moment trying to get an average squad of players to perform at 100% every week.It aint gonna happen. He needs a pre season with the players he actually wants,he needs to get rid of the players who are not good enough and unfortunately thats probably 2/3rds of the present squad.Given time and the right squad Hughes will turn it around, but not this season.

Must say he still seems very calm about it all, too calm for a manager of a side that has just been absolutely spanked. So either he's already accepted the inevitable (and knows he won't be around to suffer the consequences) or he's done a deal with Manc to let us win if the title race is over.
