I'd rather Charlton played in the final than either of them :) Let's face it Real and Bayern can't be more difficult to beat than Fulham away can they?

John Terry and his Father are scum.Terry is so used to lying about his many affairs he doesn't know the difference between the truth and a porky.Should not be anywhere near an England team let alone captain it.Billy Wright and Bobby Moore, two honourable men must be spinning in their graves.

Agree completely, I thought Chelsea were brilliant, it's not the beautiful game that we all like to see but to counter Barca you can't out pass them and keep possession, Chelsea did exactly what they had to, if this was Charlton who had done it would we be complaining we won ugly? That's what you have to ask yourself, we should be supporting the British Team in the champions league.

And thanks Stu, someone else who realises that Barca need to learn to shoot from distance, they tried to pass it into the 6 yard box against Chelsea, if they had hit it from 20/25 they would have been far more dangerous once Chelsea resorted to 10 men behind the ball.

I personally don't get the whole ''support the British team''. Any team who gets to the final usually resorts in their fans being unbearable in the build up.

But hey ho, Chelsea will be found out on the grandest stage in club football. Then it will all be worth it :)

Supposing in the final Real(if they get there) play like Chelsea it will be a horrible spectacle like the Italians in the 60's.

What about Juve-Milan in 2003 (?). Sends shivers down my spine thinking about that game.

Must admit, very impressed with Bayern last night - speed.incision and fearless. A better team than i gave them credit for.
I also dont get this Chelsea will *have* to attack in the final - would a load of brown stuff, its almost as if they spend every game in their own half - dont you realise that it was Barca that forced them back ?

Also, yes you have to be patriotic and want the English club to win (exceept, of course if its Manure, oh, and Braindead,Palarse ,Wham,Soton,Wendies,Cardiff,Brum etc.etc) - are are you one of those blokes that walk around the High Street with your Brazil shirt on when the World Cup is on ???

Bayern are absolute class. Their energy levels are superhuman, and it would have been a real shame had they missed out. It was a joy to behold to watch such methodical and meticulous football.

Also, looking at the Euro Champs, I cannot see beyond Germany for the trophy. Their starting eleven will be far superior to that of France, England, Holland and even Spain. But it is the work ethic and discipline that will see them win the tournament.

Neuer, Lahm, Badstuber, Boeteng, Rolfes, Muller, Ozil, Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Podolski and Gomez (possibly Klose). Class.

Sorry Stu, I won't support a team purely because they play in England. I will also announce now that I hope Munich absolutely trounce Chelsea.

And as for it just being Barcelona that did that to Chelsea - I will politely remind you of Napoli away, and both Benfica games. Whilst they didn't play within their own box, they rarely left their half in any of those games. And to win a cup final, you really do have to go forward. Unless you think you can hold them and play for penalties. Please don't become a manager of CAFC one day ;)

I must admit, i didnt see the Napoli or Benfica games, but TBH, i dont think that that is (as someone else has mentioned) far away from a lot of CAFC's displays this season ????

Disagree with the comparison to CAFC. When we dig deep, we fight all over the pitch. Even in the games like Sheff Weds away etc we looked to play football, and didn't crowd our half (let alone box) and constantly tried to bring the ball out. Chelsea stood in their box and booted it. Peter Kay could have played a staring role.

I thought Chelsea played quite well from their own half today !

I'm late posting on this, so sorry. I'm with Super and others on here who won't be supporting Chelsea in the final just because they're English. I'm a fan of 'football' (so I like to watch good football) not just a fan of 'English football'.

Also, the comparison with CAFC is silly, we only play super-defensive football when under pressure in the last five minutes (with the inevitable Taylor for BWP sub). Even then we defend and try to launch the counter attack (mostly through Pritchard). Chelsea just got everyone behind the ball.

Chelsea were playing away, against arguably the best team in the world, with 10 men, trying to protect their lead, and people have a go at them !!

Certainly , some of the games i've watched CAFC this season have been similar (Sheff U at home springs to mind) - not quite Barca, we were at home, and we had the same number of players as them.

I could never support Chelsea after the way they shafted us over Scott Parker. Not forgetting the time we had to play on a desert without any prior warning.

I dislike the Wets far more than Chelski but I hate Sir Trevor Brooking (even more than Pardew)! The Wets actions over the Defoe thing were quite underhand and STB's comments at the time were disgraceful!

We got just over £1m for Defoe at the time (for a player who was obviously going to the very top) PLUS a sell on fee but the Wets fiddled the selling price to Spurs so only a very small additional fee was payable rather than a few hundred thousand. Their actions were obviously instigated by STB saying "let's not pay Charlton any more for Defoe" which led to the incorrect fee beig declared.
