Erm..............Fergie built an empire, hes been through the good and the bad and hes never ever backed out of a fight.

Another one who chats nothing but ****, no doubt associated with the victim complex of the average Liverpool fan.

You do like to have your say about how United did this or that but the fact is you know **** all about United as your bitterness towards the club clouds what you see. There is no club like United, never has been and never will be. Fergie did everything at United and frankly, according to idiots like yourself hes been dominating english football in recent years with a poor squad.

Just like to point out a little something.....

Those saying you couldnt win anything with Barcelona.........Pep was in the same position as all of us the day before he took the job, he wasnt a manager, same for the next guy in line. Hes a coach, like steve kean or Brian Kidd.

Guess what happened.......yep..........a manager with zero experience won the treble in his first year. Was it down to him, or the small fact he had the most talented set of players ever to play the game all at the same time?

Well when Barcelona go and win stuff next season with a ****ing coach then we shall have our answer.

Pepe didnt do tactics or game plans. He told his players to do what the do. If it wasnt working he had no idea what to do. The best team on earth and the manager didnt know how to change a ****ing thing.

You're calling me thick? Priceless, from someone who's spent lord knows how many pages spouting nonsense about how Guardiola has chickened away despite that most of your statements have been proven simply factually incorrect.

No matter how you want to put it but two seasons trophyless and finishing third 18 points behind Real is a terrible season for Barcelona, it was their worst in a long, long time. At that time nothing was coming together.

And the simple fact Real during Pellegrini's last season got more points than ever in their history, more than Mourinho has managed yet. Oh but of course beating them had to really easy, since Pep did it.

Everyone has realised by now that you have some kind of problem with Guardiola, no matter what he does he can't do right. You say winning trophies with Barca is child's play but you also say Guardiola is coward to leave that child's play. I'm not sure why I'm even bothering with this. No matter what anyone says, no matter how many of your statements are proven to simply incorrect, you're still going to keep that going it seems. It's a waste of time.

When did people start believing what football managers say to the press. Must be a new thing considering most play the press for what they are, mugs. Perhaps I missed the memo or perhaps its just a Barcelona thing. After all they do get away with anything considering they are so good. Diving, harrassing the officials, everything they say is fact etc etc. What a club.

It was certainly bad times for Barcelona. A double in 2006 and another in 2009. CL Semi finals and league runners up in the years between those 2. Hard times indeed. Much harder than the period not long before that where Barcelona had not won anything for years and were way behind Real and other clubs.

Like I said, the guy had no tactical ability, no game plans, no plan B nothing. Sure he was no doubt a great man manager and a great pal of the players but none of that will matter in his next job. Do you expect the perfect set of player to be waiting for him when he takes another job? He wont do as good but if hes as good as some think we can expect silverware no matter where he goes right, like Mouriniho?

Oh wait, mourinoho is a manager and uses tactics, game plans and defiantly has a plan B, and C and D.

I hope United are never linked with him as it would be the biggest mistake we ever make. Please let City do the stupid thing.

    Chelsea imo.

They like flavour of the month managers who get found out and sacked before Christmas.

Pep will get found out. Can not believe some people cannot see him for what he is, what did he actually do at Barcelona besides sit in his chair and make the occasional substitution. His coach probably did that aswell.

the players praise him because hes one of them, a Barca boy, a friend, family.

I can't be arsed with this nonsense anymore. Whatever anyone says to you it's in one ear and out of the other. It's like trying to argue about god with a creationist, I've tried that too, same result. Guess you can delude yourself that you've won an argument, now congrats.

    There is no god.

You run along now and keep telling yourself Pep is the man, a great manager who had a real tough time of it at Barcelona. Yep, thats what you are saying when it comes down to it :D

A fine way to conclude the whole debacle, further confirming that either you haven't read or then just you haven't understood a word of what me and others have told you. Most of the the things you keep telling yourself have been proven wrong but you just don't let that get in the way. Enjoy hating Pep and refusing to acknowledge facts <cheers>

Dont hate the guy, just think hes had a much easier time of it than some think. Many would agree with me and many with you if we are honest. I see where you are coming from but I disagree with it. Just because Pep may of said certain things doesnt mean he was planning to go through with them. Had he been successful this season it may well of been easy for Barcelona to convince him another season wont hurt. He cannot seriously be tired so why is he wanting to take a break. You said family was a factor and this is fair enough, I would say he should get ample opportunity to see his family while working in Barcelona as they likely live their but I could be wrong.

I really think he is in for a shock in his next job, unless he goes right back to barcelona after a break, which is possible of course. A job in England could be the end of him imo.

Yup, it's a possibility that he'll spend a season or two on a beach then go back to Barca. Who knows. Difficult to say how he'll do in another job but I hope he takes one, just so that we'll see how he fares without the Barca setup. Just hope that the media and fans don't expect a team to transform into Barcelona when they appoint him.

I think he just had enough of Jose Mourinho's mind games.

<laugh> I love these kind of debates tbh, it just shows how taken in by the media etc people can be

I personally wouldnt be a fan of guardiola coming to us, simply because of his lack of experience in terms of teams managed

I tend to agree somewhat with the argument that his team pretty much sort themselves out and there is definately a lack of a plan B

but then again I always gave more credit to the likes of Claudia Ranieri than Mourinho

I do think that Guardiola deserves a little credit. As you say, he may have been the next in line to do the job, but that doesn’t mean that he necessarily can get the best out of the players. You are of course right that he had some tremendous individuals to choose from which made his job easier, but managing a set of players (egos etc) that you were once playing with or coaching doesn’t always work out due to a lack of acceptance by those players. Every organisation that I have worked for only ever promote people into positions that are outside their original chain of command to prevent difficulties for that individual.

I do agree with you that I would not want to see Guardiola at United at the moment, at least until he has proven his worth in a different environment, but I still do rate him.

You are right that they could have done with a plan B against Chelsea, but when plan A is usually more than sufficient he probably got a little complacent. He is definately a work in progress, which is why I wouldn't want to see him at United just yet.
